Protein is better for ya when your sick anyways. All those carbs people eat from soups when sick isn't smart. Refined carbohydrates tax the immune system. Protein digests fully and the dietary cholesterol boosts the immune system. So hell be up and at it in no time.

@@yassirtouissi5501 I haven't tried actual Japanese Wagyu but I've tried Australian/Korean Wagyu. (I just can't justify paying $100 per Lb or more for Japanese in my current financial situation) It was too fatty for me, so Japanese Wagyu would be even fattier. I personally think normal US prime meat is perfect. I remember cooking the Australian Wagyu with no oil and by the end of if my pan was almost drowning in grease. Everyone should try it at least once though for the experience.

When I was rewatching this video I noticed your tip about spraying. Although you did take most of the fat off, one thing to keep in mind is not to spray the exposed fat, the reason for this is that the spray will slow down the amount of time it takes to render the exposed fat on the bark.

@@SamP0rterBridges for an escuite you can use canned or cob corn just make sure it's boiled if on cob. Slice off the corn kernels with knife into a cup mix in your level of desired amount of mayo and parmesan cheese to taste. Mix and top with crushed hot cheetos. Another great way to cook corn is to roast it on a grill with the husks still attached and let them eventually burn off (will help it steam itself with its own juices) then peel off the burned husks and use the husks as handles (still attached to corn cob) and rotate and grill till golden brown with slight Charing. Remove and squeeze fresh lime juice (not lemon) and sprinkle with salt. My favorite way to eat corn btw.

I’m definitely not in any position to hope to try these kinds of cuts any time soon, but if you don’t have any moral altercations with eating meat / beef, I’d say hold out hope because there’s always a chance we can influence

I just noticed that in the outro Sous Vide Everything is listed as the 2nd channel. I remember when I started watching, SVE was taking off, and this was the 2nd channel. Now it has over double the subs as SVE. It's crazy to think about the growth and how quick it's been. To be able to consistently provide amazing videos on not one, but two channels, and have them both be as successful as both Guga Foods and SVE are, is obviously no easy feat. Keep doing your thing Guga, because 2022 is going to be your biggest year yet.

Question for you Guga, do you reuse the waygu fat or do you dispose of it after a cook like this? The reason i ask is because that was a very large pot of waygu fat to fry the ribs in.
@Carebear2678
@Carebear2678 2 жыл бұрын
He usually does keep the fat trimmings from what I've seen before for smaller projects, he just didn't mention it here. Also, he usually orders wagyu fat that comes canned for situations like deep frying at this capacity, which again he usually highlights but probably didn't want to focus on this time around. I didn't check but he probably has the link to the wagyu fat he uses in the description.

Carebear2678 the question was about reusing the fat that he cooker that short rib in. Which I don’t think he would…
@adarian
@adarian 2 жыл бұрын
Its reuse depend on what you are frying. If you are frying meats 2 maybe 3 max uses before you will end up with issues with the flavor. If you are frying vegetables like making french fries then you can use it a few times more than that. I use the same brand Guga does. South Chicago Packing Company Wagyu Beef Tallow. You can get it for about 30 bucks for a 42 ounce canister from Amazon or a lot of other online retailers.

I don't know about what Guga would do with the oil, but check this out: "The cheeseburger at Dyer's Burgers on Beale Street is 100 years in the making. This restaurant has saved the grease from every burger they've ever made since 1912 and uses it to make each new dish they serve."

You should dry age beef in birria marinade. Either you can make the marinade, cook it down, dehydrate and make a powder and put it on or maybe try to wet age it in the marinade or even make a birria paste and dry age it in
