As someone who specialises in Scalp Micropigmentation and sees many clients who have had hair transplants, I would say that Andrew Tate has had a hair transplant previously. The unnaturally shaped, strong hairline and the sparse, wirey hair gives it away and is something we see in our SMP clinic on a regular basis. I'd also say that he has had SMP, I noticed what looks like SMP in his recent videos. What we see happen is that people have hair transplants, don't get the results they wanted then turn to SMP as a final hair loss solution. That's my take on it anyway.

Tate's recent jail time hair has all the signs of having a hair transplant but not taking fin to keep the other hairs from falling out. His donor area is probably pretty weak and he couldn't get much transplanted in the first place

I hate to say even "good" hair transplants are noticeable to the keen eye as the hair line is always very dense as if it's common for technicians and patients to over compensate. I mean no disrespect but the first thing I notice in the hosts head is an extremely dense hairline but all the hairs shoot straight up. Hair doesn't grow straight up and over at least not the skin complexion and hair stand thickness we see here. Another example is Jordan Peterson. I often notice his very straight hairline and the hairs grow in an unnatural upward angle from the scalp

It is true that there can be a hair transplant look, but it is certainly not for these reasons. Surgeons do understand natural angles, and usually just follow the angles of any remaining hair in the transplanted area. Secondly, hair transplants are almost always low density because there just isn't enough donor hair to recreate full natural density. I think what can produce the look you are talking about is the unnatural combination of a receding pattern with low density and strong hairs. Normally a natural receding hairline will be of fairly normal density but with variation in diameter and length of the hairs, but this is impossible (or at least, unwise) to recreate by surgery. However, just as the eye is sensitive the the minutiae of transplanted hair, so too is it sensitive to hair loss itself. Androgenetic alopecia is not just a normal and harmless part of aging. In fact, in some parts of the world men are in a distinct minority if they lose hair to AGA at all. AGA is a real medical condition, most impactful to the young due to the hefty psychological and social consequences. It is for this reason that I would be careful how we talk about these things. You wouldn't say "no disrespect, but I can tell you have a prosthetic leg" to an amputee. They know, but it's the best they can do, and it changes their lives for the better.

You can see that he has almost no hair in his crown area. He got the transplant at the front forehead of his hairline and underestimated the importance the the crown area. Also all that smoking he does is speeding up his hair loss. If he took minoxidile and finasteride in his early 20's he would still have a full head of hair

I have also diffuse baldness like Tate. I also had a transplant with bad results like him. For some reason diffuse thinners are bad candidates for transplants and good results.

So you need to take fin at least then before a hair transplant? What worries me is the shedding, I know its normal but when you already have thin hair losing noticeably more makes styling it even harder as my scalp will become more see through

To touch on this point @7:00 there was many Brazilian soccer players from the past that would rock the bald look while actually have a full head of hair for example Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo Fenômeno, Adriano, Fernandinho and Pepe from Portugal. I used to shave my head or "bic" it. What we call shaving to the skin here in the states. (Bic razorz) but realized how many dudes would die for a full head of hair like mine lmao 🤣 and I bleach it and everything. Both my grandfather's died with full heads of hair. And my father has a full head of hair. I guess I never realized how lucky I was.

Well we actually got to see what his hair looks like after this video, after his hair grew out while he was in jail. It looks like he just has a lot of diffuse thinning. If he got on some Finasteride and Minoxidil he could probably thicken it up a bit, but it's very thin at this point.

Serious question. Andrew tate is a millionaire that is trying to get as much hair as possible like any of us, yet his transplant didn't cover enough to give him a full head of hair, so he went with smp and shaving his head. I thought anyone with enough donor hair and money can throw 7,000 grafts at it and get a full head of hair. I don't get how regular guys can pay $8,000 in turkey to get 7,000 grafts for a full head of hair and look better than the results Andrew got. What's the deal? Did he do 3,000 grafts and give up... Basically why does KZfaq show us videos of regular people getting what looks to be almost a full head of hair back but he couldn't..?

I can answer this. It’s not about quantity, but quality. If one’s donor hairs are weak, the results will be subpar as there will be a clear disparity in hair textures as transplanted hairs retain their original characteristics; namely, a thin/frail disposition. I’ve had 7,200 hairs transplanted to the entire top of my scalp; although I have a full head of hair, the hair textures are disparate and it still looks like I’m balding.

This is what happened to Tate: He was on roids so lost his hair. Got a transplant in Turkey that later failed because he continued to take roids and was too macho to take finasteride. So shaved it off. Brandon Harding is another roid head that refuses to take finasteride…Your welcome.

Agree with you, I do think he's done a HT and SMP I've seen some clips of his videos that my brother sent me, he definitely comes across as a loud mouth and an a**hole, did not come across as someone inspirational IMO, like that quote of him that's in the first two minutes of this video is one example:"My plan is to lie and cheat my way through this competition". Andrew Tate when he was 21yo - Young Top G. I know I have to watch more to get an honest opinion about him, but Idk, I'm not seeking to do that anytime soon. I have a quarter sized bald spot right above my forehead..at the worst area possible..so I just buzz all my hair off. It's been like that for over 10 years. It's a shame it didn't happen anywhere else. Nothing I can do about it I guess.. I've always wondered though if it could be a liver problem. I think I read something some sort of illness or disease causing balding in a particular area. Anyway, no 30+ year old is shaving his hair off if he actually has it (I shaved my head once and it's a terrible feeling). But yeah, it's like guys wearing hats all the time indoors, well they obviously have hair problems. And I mean what screams balding more than an actor with famously great hair wearing a hat whenever out in public or during interviews? haha
