Great advice Matt, these kind of hairlines can prove to be a disaster later on in this hair restoration journey. As we know hair loss can be progressive, sometimes even on medications. One has to be patient with the hairline. Thanks for sharing, it will help many. ❤

But, now that what's done is done. Won't his hair restoration be successful in the long run if he's on a proper dht blocker like finasteride or dutasteride. If he experiences sides, which upon research I found he doesn't, so he can always safely microdose on finasteride and be safe right? Of course, this wasn't ideal, but what would be your suggestion to this patient moving forward?
@Slickvic23
@Slickvic23 Жыл бұрын
The most important thing you said in here is being patient with the process and even how you go about it. Most people get caught up in needing that instant fix and get chopped up or skip over steps that could fix or optimize the result…. I’m following the course of patience. I got on fin, min, needling 7 months ago as a diffuse thinner NW3.5ish and have reversed a lot of the loss already. After a full 12-18 months has gone by, I’ll take a look at the situation and if it needs some filling in on the crown or (most likely) temples still, then I’ll go get it done. I think the worst mistake people can make with this is not trying the treatments first and followed by not being patient and oh yeah… not listening to the experts like you who clearly know what you’re talking about and achieved the best result that could be had.

Seems like a lot of kids nowadays want a very low, perfectly straight hairline. You should always stick to your natural hairline. Don't waste hundreds of extremely valuable donor hairs by trying to create a completely new hairline further down your forehead. It will look awful.

@@MrTeeGee95 Yeah, Turkish clinics are notorious for that. They like to cram as many grafts in as possible, way more than is necessary. Even for small procedures, they will use 3k-4k grafts. Remember, we only have 4k-4.5k donor hairs available. Once they are gone, that's it. No more. So using them all up filling in little gaps by the temples is just insane. Anyone thinking of going to Turkey for a transplant- Don't be blinded by the cheap prices and big promises and misleading "success stories." Do your homework. Be very very careful out there.

Couldn't you just laser the hair away if you went bald and the transplanted hair looked weird? If you decide to get the transplants you might want to check out the Immortal Hair regimen, it's just a regimen consisting of nutritional supplements and I feel as though the regimen is not only good for hair but health and longevity as well. I've been on it since 2012 with good results. Also I feel as though essential oils may help. As an example tea tree oil antagonizes androgen receptors. I buy the pre-mixed concoctions (e.g., Sunny Isle Rosemary Mint) and add some to my shampoo (Jason Tea Tree shampoo) or other days just use a shampoo with essential oils in there already (Pura D'or Professional Grade I like). I've also recently started using a hair growth topical by Komaza and have purchased the Double Action Hair Serum by Skin Actives to use as well. The topicals aren't cheap but I'm almost 48 with poor diet and exercise habits and look to be in need of a bit of a boost to my regimen. Finally I like to incorporate a vigorous brushing to hopefully achieve a wounding action of sort. I've found that a metal dog comb seems to work well to that end. Long story short, I feel as though the natural route is legimate. Although if your genes are for shtyt maybe not.

Had my birthday yesterday. Turned 49y I have more or less same as he had before. Raised corners. Plus overall on front a bit diffuse thinning especially at the mid front 2 cm into the hair from the hairline. Still on just 0.5mg finasteride. Going on my 22nd year now. I would say my overall top density is worse compared to 22 years ago but the temples raise is actually lower although much more diffuse. So one can say that I have a raised hairline all over a couple of cm compared to my youth hairline. And then all over it’s thinner / diffused especially on the 1-2 band across the hairline and then those two more diffuse triangles in each temple corner. I always had scalp problem which I I now last 2 years try to fix. Still not great but a lot better. So I am going to give it to turning 50 to see if the scalp can be healed more or less. Then I need to take a decision 1. Try adding minoxidil (I know it will be hard with discipline if I go topical also I am worried what it will do with my scales) - still oral feels not totally safe 2. Go for a smaller 1.500-2k hair transplant where I almost will not touch my hairline but hit try to increase density. 3. Accept what I have and use makeup / fibers to improve it a bit
@Pash091
@Pash091 Жыл бұрын
Try a vitamin B complex + vitamin d and castor oil with rosemary or peppermint oil instead of minoxidil. Minoxidil is the worst, also finasteride. Dermarolling once a week. Normally you'll see a lot of improvement to your overall scalp condition. Using it since 5 months now and I had the worst scalp because of minox and fin, lots of itching, dandruff and hairloss after stopping finasteride. Everything I lost since december 2021 came back and even more. Also scalp massaging helps a lot - scalp tension "stops" blood circulation in your hair roots. Just hold your sides firm on both sides and push the skin up, then release and again up... for 2 minutes or pinch the skin together. Your scalp starts tingling immediately. Really a great natural routine. My grandpa and dad lost all their hair at my age and I still have a full head of hair, so I guess it's really working.
@litjellyfish
@litjellyfish Жыл бұрын
@@Pash091 sounds good for the scalp. Still hair massage does not promote hair loss due to androgen. This stuff about blood flow to hair roots has been debunked so many times. But I heard yes that minoxidil the alcohol in it can affect the scalp. Finasteride does not affect the scalp as it’s a pill you take. My scalp issues started way before I took finasteride so it had nothing to do with it. On the contrary I would say finasteride is a life saver. For fire it’s because of it I have Leo most of my hair. I stopped it a bit Teo times and pretty soon I started loosing hair again. I already use oil and vitamins so that helps. For me I think it’s basically to keep also cleaning the hair. So for scalp this is great. But for Hairloss itself it does very little if it’s androgenic Also as long you have scalp issues you can not microneedle as that will only affect the scalp. You should only do that on an already healthy scalp

The only problem with buzzing the head after HT is that it can still look unnatural if the angles are high and multiple grafts are in a close proximity of the temporal zones and hairline. In such a case, SMP is a must, or a permanent laser hair removal to soften the transplanted line. Right now it is too early to tell how soft the hairline will look.

Yes, not majorly but it would be best to wait and see if you develop androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness). 30+ is the best time to get a hair transplant but if you don’t develop male pattern baldness then I imagine mid to late 20’s wouldn’t be a bad time to get one. Maybe take a pic of your hairline now and one in a years time and see if you notice any further loss to determine if you have standard male pattern baldness as well before you make your decision. Also, if you do decide to get a hair transplant, I recommend fully researching before hand and making sure you get a good doctor, as well as only going for a graft of 1500 or below. The first transplant is best to be just used as a filler of your gaps rather than lowering your hairline. You only have a certain amount of grafts you can transplant and you don’t want to use them all straight away.

To any dumbasses in the comments, a mature hairline goes up only a centimeter, then stops, my father had a full head of hair with a widows peak hairline, maternal grandfather with a juvenile hairline too and I have a widows peak and a adult hairline like my dad and I’m 16, i lost my juvenile hairline at 12, just like my dad and my dad is 45, so you see how genes are unexpected but thankfully no one is going thru hairloss

just take medical consultation. Don't waste time here. Just because his hair transplant was successful doesn't mean it will be the same for you. He knows nothing about the medical procedure, he got a youtuber degree and started consulting people. By no means, he should be taken seriously. If you really need help consult a good doctor, not this guy. He will ruin your life by giving suggestions that you don't actually need. Doctors are the best source of information.

His hairloss seems to be very aggressive too. He has lost a lot of hair in a little over a year. By this time next year, he might have noticeable thinning on the rest of his head or the crown.

Trying this but gym doesn't boost my self-confidence the way it used to anymore. I've always had some minor selfesteem problems, but nothing too major. Hairloss was a game changer. The evaluation I have of myself is so low that I am almost 100% sure that no woman will ever touch me again no matter how my body looks like.

I'm 31, my hairline receded slightly between 20-25 and I became more mature looking, it's remained the same since. Young guys need to chill out, embrace your mature hairline, you're not going bald.

if you are really young and balding you should wait until your 30s because if you get a transplant in your early 20s yea you will have fixed your hair for now but later on down the years more than likely the hair behind the area that you got your hair transplanted to will more than likely be gone due to continuous balding

thatll be like lebron getting a hair transplant at age 20 whenever he still gonna lose a shit ton of hair later on down the years better to just wait to let the balding take its course while you are young an then whenever you hit your 30s an your testosterone levels start to plateau an you arent balding as much get the transplant

Is there some reason these surgeons are unable to create a natural looking hairline? Don't they realize the number of hairs diminishes at the hairline of even the fullest head of hair? Why go through the expense and pain to end up with what looks like a very bad toupee?
