If you want to play EU4 Najd, I'd recommend a hefty achievement guide. By this I mean EU4 achievement hunting in general. We're trying to get the EU4 achievement Jihad, where, playing as Najd, EU4 Laith must get 500 sunni provinces, all whilst the EU4 ottomans try their best to stop him from playing. You all asked for this video, so here it is, now let me know if I should do more.

I’ll be glad to inform you that since my comment on the last video about it inspiring me to try a run, it’s been going absolutely swimmingly! Allied the Ottomans and Timurids before two months had passed and after 15’ish years I own most of the Arabian peninsula! Thanks Laith!

@@TheSocialStreamers Allow me to balance this out for you by telling you that in my most recent Florence run, Sienna allied Austria, Lucca allied France, and Ferrara allied Venice. I had to fight allies of allies to conquer anything.

EDIT: Oh and that mission upgrading your mosque to a grand mosque tells you it’ll go in your capital, but it goes in your most developed province of the mentioned terrain types. I was just as confused.

Once you have 80+ trust (as far as i know) with an ally, they won't declare you as a rival if you're eligible to be their rival while you have an alliance with them. They may still want your land and turn hostile from that though

Part 2 arrived, and with it more negative events coupled with Laiths declining sanity. Also the sentence "I thought I paid off all ny loans, and instead, I got rid of all my money" is Laith in RL paying off his student loans. Cant wait for the "Odyssey of Najd" Part 3 with even more catastrophes! Yay! 😄

Returning again to say I love the achievement run and would love to see more achievement runs being done. And I don't know about anyone else in the audience, but I personally love to see Laith overcoming the pain and struggle in the videos to build some powerhouse nation. Seeing a scuffed, horrible, restart worthy game being attempted is very reminiscent of my own EU4 games and its great knowing not everyone playing this game is some pro-mlg meta gamer and that there are in fact many idiots playing. So thank you Laith for being the representation for this game I can aspire to.

eu4 youtube has always been crazy runs and flexing and what have you. Its a downright breath of fresh air to see a relatable run Anybody can steamroll but this kind of scrambling and digging deep is what makes the game truly fun imo

Nothing hurt worse than hearing you spent the entire game without the merchant bookkeeping privilege, that privilege is a goddamn lifesaver

Thr bookkeeping privilege actually only cares about loyalty so if your merchants are at 100 loyalty but zero influence its still gives its full effect (which is a broken amount of reduce inflation cost and interest reduction.)

If you use the Spy Technology mechanic by having a high spy network in a country with higher tech, you can get a massive discount to your tech costs so you can catch up.

it's so funny to me that Laith would get mad at the idea of having a 2-1-2 heir because like. I absolutely get it, playing on a shorter time scale of daily uploads with flashiness in mind (as you should for a video) means that would be awful! but for me that's like. Fine. 32:05 aren't you getting more warscore contribution if you sit on a fort and if you lose more manpower? I actually know this because when offering condottieri you actually don't get contribution points if you siege provinces without a fort, so it might be the same calculation of contribution in a normal war as well.

Hey laith do you know the black flag trick? Your troops always have Mil access to the province they came from, so if you ask for Mil access, move your troops into the land, walk back into your land, cancel the mil access you can still walk back to the province you came from, but will be instantly black flagged allowing you to get to your enclave

You’re better off snaking around the Mamluk provinces that Ottomans have of high interest, until you’ve almost eaten all of Egypt and have matched Ottomans size. Take the Mashriq without Baghdad, Arabia, without Mecca. Parts of the Levant they don’t have high interest.
