I watched the show and then immediately read the comic and I've never been this impacted by a piece of media ever. This story makes me incredibly happy but also super depressed at the same time. I literally cry randomly during the day when I listen to music put in the show. Also props to Alice for adapting her own work so well for the screen. It should always be like this, let the original creator write te script. The cast was also so perfect, the way kit and Joe act perfectly every single glance and smile, incredible 😭

Pirates of the Carribean being a bi awakening really did it for me. You can't get more relatable than that, really XD

I couldn't pause it even for a moment the first time I watched it. As soon as it ended, I started it again. I just finished my 14th viewing. It is brilliant and important. I love every aspect of the show--I think it's perfect. Acting, writing, directing, lighting, music, locations, cinematography, costumes, EVERYTHING is brilliant. ❤️🍂

The series is so so so perfect

I have to be honest, it didn't meet my expectations because they were fairly low. I had never read anything in the Osemanverse (I'm 45 after all) and I'm a bitter, jaded cynical old gay so to hear all the raving made me very suspicious. In the end though I had to take a look because it was just everywhere. I was blown away. Munched through all the episodes as if they were popcorn: I was charmed, I laughed and I cried both happy and sad tears. This is just the sort of show I wish had been around in my teens, as it probably would have made me feel a lot more safe and secure in being gay (I didn't come out until my twenties). I love it and am so glad there are going to be two more series. I've since binged all of the books, including Radio Silence (blimey it's good) and the other novels and Alice is now up there with my favourite authors, including PG Wodehouse, Christoper Rice, and Terry Pratchett. That's how good I think she is. One thing I will say though is I think we may need to give credit to Kathy Hughes, credited as Script Supervisor. As someone who writes myself I know how much input a script editor can have, and I'm sure she helped in the transition from page to screen. Some of the restructurings are things I think only a collaborator of experience would have suggested (although I have no doubt Alice ran with them and did them herself).
