It’s wild how hard the people who like the game are trying to cope right now. Like it’s trending how bad the game is and a majority of people agree it’s not worth a $40 price tag in a market where it’s competition is mostly free to play games. I don’t know why this is the hill people choose to die on.

Couldn't care less about the character's personality. A hero shooter that's a mix of Destiny and Overwatch sounds sublime. A longer TTK is icing on the cake. I've really lost a lot of interest in OW once they went 5v5 so this would be something great to scratch that itch.

Some people have such a weird relationship with multiplayer games, hating them on a exagerated way some times, i always see them as a new oportunity to hang with my friends, nothing more, nothing less and this one actually looks better that i expected, looks pretty fun

Because the FULL game must have single campaign and PvP mode. It was like that till 2015 when developers decided they could sell one mode as a full game.

@@lastbeerthat’s just not correct. What about single player games that only have a campaign? Are those not full games? As long as the game is well designed and gives me enough fun for what I paid, it’s fine. I payed for Overwatch at the time and it was an amazing game that gave me literally hundreds of hours of fun, and I very much preferred the game when you just had to pay for it once and could get 90% of cosmetics just by playing the game, now you have to spend money on a regular basis to be able to get decent skins.

this needs an open beta.. people nowadays are hard to win over after a "lukewarm" response with its reveal... tbh.. from everything i've seen with the reveal and this gameplay.. this sure looks a loooooooot like destiny pvp lol that trip mine, the hunter looking dodge and that sniper's jump .. makes me think why you'd want this if you have destiny edit: just saw the beta post.. noice.. hope this delivers cause from the trailers and sneak peaks this looks plain af

Problem is people want to both ways. They say $40 with seasons and content included is a barrier but F2P micro transactions and battlepasses get trashed. I think needed to go on PS plus 1 month then $40 after. If the game is good your friends will buy it.

@@trombonekingdom depends which point of view you apply. Gamers or Corporate. There were good or very good games during PS3 era which failed to meet corporate expectations. And it is not a secret that Sony since beginning of this gen had focus on blockbuster games and live service games. I'm not hating this game, I'm simply not interested but being a gamer for over 30 years, and person who closely follow gaming market I do not think this game will be a success. I might be wrong. And I have not problem admitting it if the sales and gamers reception prove that I was wrong.

I think this looks like it could be fun. I find it very odd to put the previous story shorts on KZfaq instead of just being available from the game menu. Just put in the extra effort into the design/storage space or whatever they need and make the full story available in the game?

They need to up the marketing on this one. I wont say i am super excited for this game, but i feel that the first impression (that i very much share) wasn't very good, but... maybe there is something here that deserves at least unbiased attention to see where it lands. But they need to make it F2P, I understand that it comes with its own pitfalls, but I don't think people will pay full price for this, they just wont (me included).

To be fair, I think it's less about what marketing did and more about the game being THE GAME TYPE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED and those games being a non-starter for many. Also, people were annoyed that Sony was taking an aggressive THE GAME TYPE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED push. Some called it a greedy or dumb strategy.

Since when Sony showed Concord in may's State of Play 2024 I've been interested of it because it's a science-fiction hero shooter game with the unique looking characters, this looks better than Apex, Valorant and Overwatch all of them at the Same Time, can't wait i'm so excited and looks foward for this when I got this my hands on! 🌌💙

The one thing I think this game could do to one up Overwatch is have single player content and playable levels and progression. Maybe show people how characters kits work in single player scenarios that actually provide lore and flavor text? Do what Overwatch failed to deliver on alongside some compelling story and characters might give them a solid in. Not guaranteed but still. It's probably a big production ask but it may pay off.

The gameplay looks a little floaty and sluggish when compared to overwatch, and ADS is unnecessary in this style of game. This pace might be more manageable for console players, and fans of Destiny/Halo will probably like it, but it's not for me.

Seems fine but large health pools are proven to be detrimental. That's why CoD, Destiny and the likes are successful, because the fast pace and the low TTK feels so good.

Wait a minute...those story cutscenes that will come out each week will only be 2 minutes in runtime?! Man, why even bother doing these dumb cutscenes at all then? A two minute runtime is not enough time for any character to have any sort of real development. These "cinematic vignettes" feel like they're getting the least amount of effort and attention put into them compared to the rest of the game and I honestly think that the whole idea will die off not too long after the game's launch.
