I've heard it stated before that someone repeating a behavior like asking the same question over and over again and expecting a different result could be a sign of insanity. Looks like you ran into the police on feelings patrol. Someone reported to the police that they felt you were speeding so the feelings police patrol was dispatched to pull you over and ask if you'd liked to self-incriminate yourself. It doesn't make a whole a lot of sense.

Well done this guy. According to the document published by Police Scotland entitled, Police Scotland Know Your Rights. On page 5 paragraph 3, it states, if you are stopped by a police officer, you are 'entitled' to know the officers name, number, station they are attached to and the reason for the encounter. I insist on calling them constables not officers.

speeding offences need evidence...unless you want to confess at the roadside, the female constable nicely tried to get you to admit to speeding, she said "there has been an allegation of speeding made against this van and driver..." are you aware of what I'm speaking about at all???.."......that was your chance to confess and say "yes Im aware that I was speeding"......but you handled it well....." I don't answer questions.." or " I prefer not to answer.." are perfect responses, and of course you are legally obliged to give your details, handing over a driving licence is perfect.....nothing more than that is required at roadside, the fact that you were filming had a lot to do with their treatment of you I'm sure.

I would suggest the vehicle was either travelling in excess of the speed limit or it wasn't. If someone wants to allege it was they need to support the claim with a fully calibrated Home Office approved device. Therefore a person guessing at the rate of a vehicle's perambution does not constitute the requirements of an official speed measuring device, which in turn highlights the utter incompetence of this pair of Home Office approved cattle-heads.
