this would be hard to keep track of at an offline tourney with high entrants but it would be interesting

@@ayyyyMan you could just play smashdown but instead of going all the way u go only best of 3 with each person you face. Only problem is then having to have people keep track of who u already used, maybe after each set when u go to submit results u also have to submit what characters you used

In Finland we actually do this at some smaller meetups. There is also another twist: before every set, your opponent bans 2 characters from your roster and you cant use those characters during the tournament either. This prevents you from saving your best characters for the last sets. It's really fun! If you have around ~16 players, this format is perfect. You can keep track of your characters on a paper note. We have also done this reversed a couple of times, meaning your opponent chooses your character for each game, and that character cant be chosen again during the tournament, so effectively you start with your worst characters lmao.

@Eedwarddi so u ban 2 characters every match u play? I think either it should be 1 character every match u play, or you ban like 2 characters they can’t use, but it’s just for that set, not the whole match. Because it sounds really cool, but if u play like 10 before grands. people that’s 20 characters gone and the ones u also play, that’s like 40 characters gone for grands. And then people will never get to use their mains unless whoever they vs doesn’t know their mains. But still sounds extremely cool! 👍

Throughout the entire video, I was scared to look at how long we had left in fear of spoiling myself. I am glad I didn't. Also, Wii Fit Trainer as a character is just built stupid. Not broken, but stupid.

@@nuthhi No. Weird hitboxes that are very inconsistent do not make for a good character. It's only when you do get hit by something that looks like you shouldn't, you're second-guessing yourself. She's not P-Plant weird for sure, but she is strange. Wii Fit isn't bad, yes, but she's not a good character.

Both show skill in different areas. Even with just 1 character, there's a lot of matchup knowledge and experience you need to be powerful at a tournament. This shows more of a general smash skill.
