In this episode of our vlog series, I share an intimate experience I recently had with you. I was watching a man I deeply admire named Colonel Douglas McGregor speak in which he discusses something he calls "core Americans". He describes this core as having two parts. The first part, which is a majority, consist of Europeans, the source of this American culture and ideology. The second part he says is from Africa, the slaves that were brought here. Watch the video to understand how the words from the great colonel touched me.

Wanting to be a proud American does not need a validation point. From what I see, you’re an intelligent human that probably chooses to lean on your intellect to validate more than is necessary. This is probably the time to surrender your thinking and just be free. Allow your spirit to thrive without having to consult that other side of your brain you use so much! Peace and love

At one point there was a class of people not wanting other people to learn how to read the Bible... Talk your intellect brother. Conversation is good. In the beginning was the word...

We're all the same race, the human race, and we're all derived from Africa, just 100,000 years apart. Some people of all colors have been enslaved. My ancestors came over on the Mayflower as indentured servants, which was almost slavery.

@@ChristianX-pn9ou Jesus! I didn't know that. Indentured servants were HARDLY covered in school. I don't even know where to pull the history on these guys. Got any recommendations?

I would never have thought that African Americans are not viewed as core Americans to begin with. They are an important part of our history, even though they have been treated with such dehumanizing behavior. Big love 💛🙏

Happy For You, you should be proud of being an American.......Black, White, European or African descent.....they are both the core of America and the fabric of what built this Country and made it Great, not perfect, hardly perfect but always striving to be better......we have a long way to go but will continue to seek perfection

I'm proud of good people that are trying to make a better future. There's too much of an information overload in modern times, and I feel like i've lost the plot of what it means to be American. Personally, i'd rather find validation in a community in which I feel grounded.

Watch the history of the battle of Brooklyn the revolutionary war. The largest battle of the war. 200 blacks free and slaves fought in that battle . 2 were heroes. It was a frigging nasty fight. OUR HISTORY WAS ROUGH BUT WE ARE AMERICANS. WE THE PEOPLE GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸

Common history could and should bring us together but they only talk about the history that divides us. Columbus day was to bring Americans and Italian immigrants together. Pulaski day is only in Illinois because of the large Polish population. Celebrated to bring Americans and Polish immigrants together.

Go watch Glory. Black men bled and died for that flag to end the slavery of their brothers. 100 years ealier, the first man to die for that flag was Black.
