I cried out loud. Pushkinskaya, 2-4, there is my flat. The first building you showed. I left home on 24th of February. Just put my 2 cats and 2 dogs in the car and left cause I worried I could save them otherwise. It’s painful. I will come back. I will come and revive my country in some time whilst donating money to our armed forces. The coffee shops you showed - I went there every day working from home during quarantine with my dogs. I miss waiters and managers, miss friends who stayed and my cousin who decided she wasn’t going with me and I couldn’t persuade her. My deepest shame is that having so many pets I couldn’t go to territorial defense or the army. This shame will be with me forever cause I’m don’t have a husband or children I could’ve taken place of some person who had and who went and died for our country. Thank you for showing me my home

33:52 If you ever come to Prague (CZ) (or pretty much any other Czech or Slovak city / town that has a tram network), you will see that those trams (Czech Tatra model T3) are still running in here as well. And not really for economic reasons. The T3 are so iconic and loved that we still want them and we just refurbish and upgrade the interior :) It will be a very sad day when they get completely replaced by the new modern trams. And btw, Vienna still uses their old E2 trams by Simmering-Graz-Pauker / Bombardier from the 1970s as well. It's not a lack of progress, it's because of nostalia. At least for us.

Sorry, I can't buy this propaganda. Ukraine is only one country in the World which building it's national identity on ethinc cleansing and genocide. Also only one country with "heroes" like Stephan Bandera or Roman Shukhevych or collaborators of SS Galizien. Volhynia ethinc cleansing or Odessa massacre are "proud and important" parts of ukrainian "identity". I'm Polish myself but if you think that this is propaganda then do some basic homework and Ukraine has to take responsibility for their barbaric crimes

It doesn't matter what Ukraine "did" in the past (in fact, responsinility for many things belongs to individuals, not to countries, nations or millions of people who live years after particular event). The trolleys are colorful and give a little old world ambience. San Francisco prides it's self for their trams, trolleys and cable cars. My friend was a brakeman on the cable cars and it is one of the most prestigious positions in the whole public transportation system. I was born in the city in 1953 and we rode the cable to the baby sitters every morning and evening. One of my most fondest memories of the City By The Bay.

@@biglance I don't think he will have trouble, Lance. The Russian language is spoken by a majority of people in Ukraine. This has historical reasons and Ukrainian was suppressed for a long, long time too. Other than what Russian propaganda tells, it wasn't a problem if one spoke Russian back then and it isn't a problem today. But Ukrainian gets a revival, many "native" Ukrainians and "Russians" learn Ukrainian language. This out if shame and because of unity. But it's still not a problem if one speaks Russian. The demand to speak Ukrainian in offices and schools, and I could be wrong here, takes place in 2030. That's a normal approach by the government to support the countries roots and the Ukrainian language just like in the Baltic States.

Kyiv is *beautiful* and has a lot of character! It is so grand and things look properly dispersed, not crowded or chaotic. Honestly, I wish Bucharest (my home city) would look more like that. 😕 Long live Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇷🇴

I am from Poland. I am thinking of visiting Ukraine all the time. I was only once and for a very short time in Lviv, unfortunately I didn't have time to visit more before the war broke out. I am not afraid of the war because I do not intend to go to dangerous places and most of Ukraine is relatively calm and safe, but I have another doubt. It seems inappropriate for me to go on a trip to Ukraine to have a good time when the entire Ukrainian nation is suffering. On the other hand, the lack of foreign tourists is also a blow to the country's economy. I would feel really good spending my money on vacation in Ukraine instead of in another European country, but I don't know how Ukrainians would take it and if they would feel good if someone from the West comes to rest when it is so difficult for them. This is a difficult dilemma for me. I would be grateful for the opinions of Ukrainians how they see this issue.

If you want to go, you can add me on FB and I will do my best to tell you precisely what is worthy of visiting (I speak a little bit of polish as well). I could host you as well, but currently I am not in Ukraine and will return after the war. If someone else is interested in some tips, or trip to Ukraine after the war, you all can find me on Facebook, it's my real name! Good luck!
