One thing I really like about this channel is that Ara is really transparent about how and why she organizes her projects the way that she does. We don't just get to see her experiment with miniature techniques, but also the way she tackles her work load

It's really amazing how far you've come from that Pink Panther foam, Ara. So many details, and all the different solutions that different materials require, as well as all the new spaces that were born out of necessity--the walkways and stairs, the display shelves for the models and so on. They look organic, as if they were intended to be there all along--which is just perfect.

That means a lot to me! It was just a chunk of pink foam not too long ago!! With that pink panther staring back at us all lol! I am so glad you have enjoyed watching the process. Many of the things that were created were as much a surprise to me as they were to you all😄

I love the name for the ship! Also, maybe the captain only has red lanterns because the right side of her ship keeps getting destroyed/damaged, so she keeps the red lanterns as a sort of joke, like the left side of the ship is the lucky side.

I am so happy I am able to share! As I get closer to the deadline I may have a harder time keeping up but I know everyone is so understanding of that. I will still be filming but will just have to share after I get back! I am so glad you like it, thank you!😊

I will admit I didn't know much about Moya either but it was recommended in the comments and I found that great model of it. It's a beautiful ship and was so fun to paint! I hope to check out Farscape soon!

You have the red lanterns on the left side of the Captain's Quarters, so the collection of green lanterns would be on the right side. This is the front of the project, so of course we don't see them. No problem! ☺ I recognized the Tardis, the Millennium Falcon, the Enterprise, and the puddle jumper. I love the name! The back has turned out absolutely fantastic! So many details to see! 🥰

I saw The Captain’s Quarters today at the Mini Time Machine Miniatures Museum in Tucson. A totally engaging story brilliantly told in three dimensions, actually four when we consider the presence of a model Tardis. (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). I am totally wowed and will be going back soon for a longer visit. Thank you Ara, pure genius, a veritable Jules Verne of miniatures.

I love this vlog. Today was just perfect. I love the fact that you find uses for everyday things. And the captain's quarters is just so special. I also make lists just like you do. I'm making a village of 1/4 scale buildings and items and trying to finish one section before going to another. But lists do help. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. It looks amazing! The name of the ship is very appropriate, and all of the details you put in are what makes the story believable. I almost feel like I'm there in the ship, and all of the mini mini ships give even more realism (I was surprised by how many I could name). Kudos for including the original Enterprise! The folks who visit the museum will be thrilled to see this.

Wow!!!! So many things I love!!! The back of the project is so interesting and cool. Because I am a collector of many things my favorite spot in this project is the models in the back. You are doing a terrific job❤ Almost to the end. So glad to be able to follow the journey of this project 😊 Love how Stormy hangs with you while you are working so hard. I can’t imagine how you would be able to work if you had a cat! When I had my cat for 20 plus years she was always into my miniatures when I was working on them😂 Thanks for sharing 😊

You're amazing. All the miniature work, the many pieces, the creativity, the busy work (the list!). Just the pre-planning that had to go into make this piece, so many working parts. Overwhelming to me, but you're working on it like the pro you are! And of course, the other projects you have going on. I'm so glad the people who see my little miniature projects can't compare yours with mine, lol. Also, Serenity, whee!!!

It's funny that you say that, because I keep finding little pre-planned drawings that I made along the way and none of them match what it looks like now lol! It's wild how many times it has morphed and now become what it is! I am so glad you like it!

I thought the wahoo was a Stormy bark & if you hadn't thanked Mr. Technology, for his contribution to the video, his part would have gone unnoticed at least by me! True Dedication! Putting this much effort into something no one will see! A lot of artists I Subscribe to do this, but I've noticed some don't. So I find myself often telling the screen "paint the back"😢 awe well. Lol!! I would crack up if Stormy barked a little wahoo every time! There are a few times that I skip painting the back if I really know that it will not be seen at all but if I had just done it all the way around in the beginning I would not be playing catch up right now lol!

Ara, the detail on the back of the Captains Quarters is amazing! I am just in awe of the thought and work put into it. The staircase, control panel, signs, space ships, and lanterns added so much. I would love to have the lanterns for a future portion of my project. As for the happy dance, I can relate!😃
