I actually very much prefer "real life" of a paramotor enthusiast style stuff over "carefully curated Instagram lifestyle" stuff. That and the low flying over interesting terrain. Reminds me why I started following to begin with and what I love about the sport myself.

Considering your new situation, some advice from an old guy (72): 1. Always remember your way back home. 2. Start planning now for the future (like your retirement future). Consult a financial planner, if you haven't already. 3. Don't buy cheap furniture - it doesn't last. 4. Make good friends with your new neighbors. Tucker, before you take off for NJ, you may have luck asking U-haul or Ryder if they need a truck taken back to the east coast (because everybody is moving out west!). That way you don't have to pay for rental and gas just to get there. It may seriously be cheaper to fly east first. Many moons ago, I worked for U-haul, and this was a common practice to pay people to move equipment, or send it at a discount one way.

Lived here 47 years it gets hot in the summer and the monsoon becomes a turbulence disaster but you don’t have to shovel the sunshine one thing is it can be glass smooth around here especially in the winter alot of calm mild days. I have flown Cessnas pipers and kingair and Jet Ranger around az there is alot to see

Also, if you get lonely, you’re welcome to come to our New Years party! It’s pretty crazy! 😅

I've been traveling through Arizona for almost 40 years. I remember when I-10 stopped about 10 miles outside of Phoenix and the Greyhound track near Goodyear was 20 miles outside of town. Been to the reservations, Flagstaff, Lake Havasu, Tucson, Nogales and of course Phoenix. I'm assuming you're moving near Tucson, which will be perfect for you. Lots of flat areas to take off from and lots of cliffs to jump off of. It's also not scorching hot during the summer like Phoenix. Be careful of the cactus because it's everywhere around there and you'll never forget when you land on one.

I just went to Coast Rica a couple weeks ago with Travis Burns and Aly. Fun place to fly! I took a side trip up to La Fortuna to see the Arenal volcano.

That volcano is Arenal and that little town is La Fortuna .. been there twice, love it there.

I moved to AZ at age 23 and loved it! I'd lived several places before that, and more since then, but I still love to visit AZ. Mingus Mtn, near Cottonwood, has a fabulous paragliding site at 7830' for when the desert gets a little warm.

House buying at the holidays is fun. I did it 2 years ago. Christmas Eve 2021 was when I saw my house for the first time, and 3 weeks later I moved in. I was surprised it happened so quickly, but I needed it. May your new home adventure be as pleasant as mine was.

I've been a subscriber for years and was stationed in NJ for some time (USN). While you were living/flying in NJ, there were always structures, etc.. which you have navigated to and from. After watching this video and the vast area of nothingness from your starting point, my question is, how do you find (navigate) your way back to your vehicle? Are you using a Satnav lat/Long to return? PS: I'd luv oneday to take a tandem paramotor flight but with weight limits being what they are, I do not foresee this occuring for a while. Keep up the videos, I really enjoy them.

So I guess once the paperwork and such is finished, it's just a matter of going back to New Jersey to get a moving truck to transport all of your stuff to your new home. You can hire a company to do it though but I suggest you pack up everything yourself. Less likely to have something stolen that way.

OMG! 55+ parks always let young men with pickup trucks hang out. They are the perfect neighbor to call when furniture needs to be moved. Have fun, Tucker! lol

Tucker, I left Jersey for the first time in 1973, and have been back and gone again quite a few times. I loved the geography and the history, but not the tons of restrictive laws and overall expense and b.s. that goes with it. Embrace your move and bew surroundings. As I tell people time and again, yes, I'm from Jersey, but it's a good place to be FROM! Enjoy your new home and life out west!
