I have all of these sans the Blue one, and I have been hunting for it for months. I agree with your assessment 💯 on the 3 that I do own. I only want to get the blue one to complete the set. I also have Detour Noir, which I agree is a great Layton clone.

I came across the two darker bottles at a Marshals when visiting family a couple weeks ago. Sines they are not in a box I was able to smell them. One wasn’t bad and I was thinking to get it however I already had three bottles in my hand. Those 2”3 bottles were Vanilla Potion, Pistachio Praline and Strawberry Icing. All from the same house. My daughter loves vanilla fragrances and I could pass up the other two for 16$ each. Plus they all smelt good to me. Great video on these 4 options.

i just got all 4 Contras today and i agree with the latin. the opening is straight up smells like Vicks VapoRub lol

Contra for you and Royal Latin are my favorite. The black and silver are ok. I'm surprised at your experience with Royal Latin. Mine is 9 months old and smooth in opening and dry down and 90% Layton. I hope just needs maceration to get better.

Yes, the blue one is the nicest and the smoothest one for me as well from opening to dry down. It smells like Layton just without the Vicks Vaporub smell which I dislike. I'm surprised that he didn't like this one.

I have the black and the chrome contras i like then both. I seen an smelled the blue bottle the other day but didn't get it.

Contra for you and contra Exquisite are the two that are mass appealing and long lasting. The other 2, not so much. Contra Exquisite smells a lot like Layton to me but without the Vicks Vaporub smell. I hated the Vicks smell in Layton. . Exquisite smells good from beginning to the end for me. I don't get the opening mess that you were taking about.

I have Contra For You and Men Only Intense but do you think that the Layton one could actually be an inspiration of Layton Exclusive because of the medicinal vibe coming from oud. I have Boss Bottled Oud Saffron and I get a little of a medicinal vibe from it although I love it regardless

No, the blue one is definitely Layton but without the Vicks Vaporub smell. The one I have smells very good and very smooth. I'm surprised that he smell something different.

@PRScents and maybe because of you had to visit the hospital frequently in the past, and this one has a little medicinal smell in it and you associates that with the hospital smell, this creating an aversion to it. That could happen.
