I have to admit, hearing the story through a series of reviews is an interesting concept. I really liked this one.

This is interesting because in many ways. First the format is similar to Brem Stoker's Dracula and some Lovecraft tales being told in a narrator interpreting a series of documents. Second, in real life there was a serial killer known as "The Amazon Review Killer" because the killer bought his supplies on Amazon and left reviews obviously alluding to their use in his crimes. I also like that it is a bit Lovecraftian in its implications and ties into a setting with other tale of weird mix of psychological and cosmic horror. The fear of madness and uncomprehensible forces the main themes of the 'Laughing Horror Cosmology"

I listened to this while walking to the train station in the dark. Big mistake. I had to walk through a dark alley and I just kept turning around. @@janedoex1398 Eye caps. These are commonly used now. Gluing is not so common any more. The mouth is sewn shut by putting a needle through the lower lip and jaw and then through the upper lip into the nose and through the septum and then back down and the mouth is drawn together. Small spots of glue may be needed if the mouth doesn’t fully shut. There is a needle injector and wire method but that is not common in my country (U.K.).

In the spirit of reviews, and the good quality of this story and narration, I thought I'd share my two cents on this one. I really like this story, it catches that just-right balance of creepy, weird, and mysterious. The use of reviews and replies in combination with the narrator being detached from the events in the story works really well to make the reader question if something fantastical is really happening or if the reviewer in the story is not all there. The sole critique I would have is that I feel like the story is a little stronger had it ended after the funeral home's reply, the news report kinda dampens the impact a bit. Regardless, great job to the writer and your narration of the story!

I am really confused but also baffled and disturbed by the way the reviews started to unfold... I am not often put in that position, but I have to say that the reviews only kept getting better and better. Each odd and macabre review only drew you deeper into the madness... Though it was quite concerning, in the end, to hear the review for the funeral home, that was not expected... Nor was the updated report about how a man died, this was a twist that only added that dash of surprise we all need sometimes.. I will definitely be more cautious when reading reviews now!
