Over the holidays I gained weight. I decided to commit to 30 days of healthy habits to get back on track.
Protein PB&J Roll Ups
- 40g Kodiak pancake mix
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 50g egg whites
- 50g cashew milk
- sprinkle of cinnamon
*mix until all ingredients are combined.
* pour mixture in to a pan with some oil/ spray on medium high heat. Then move the mixture around to cover the bottom of the entire pan.
* let cook on each side for around 3-4 minutes
* Spread peanut butter and jam on top then roll up.
Cajun Chicken Orzo
- 1/2 cup red onion
- 1/2 cup green pepper
- 1 heap tbs cajun seasoning
- 1/4 cup sun dried tomato
- 1 heap tbs tomato paste
- 1/2 cup orzo
- 1 cup hot chicken broth
* Sautee red onion and green pepper in a pot until a little soft then add your cajun seasoning a mix well
* Add chicken, sundried tomato, tomato paste and orzo to the pot and mix until everything looks evenly coated
* Pour in hot chicken broth, mix together and then cover and let simmer and cook for around 15 minutes or more
* Once cooked add in a slurry of 2tbs cashew milk & 1 tbs corn starch that's well combined into your pot. this will give it a thick creamy texture.

There’s a behavioral term called “extinction bursts” which is when a person who is trying to cut down on a certain behavior will see the behavior come back every now and then, it’s very natural for almost all people trying to quit or replace a behavior. I get to see the charts so I see the progression someone makes, but what I’m trying to say is: just because you have a moment of weakness, does not mean you’re not improving (: it’s normal and doesn’t mean you’re not progressing, so keep at it!

I’m 40 and when Covid hit I gained a shit ton of weight ,got up to 330lbs (6’1”). 6 months ago I decided to do something about that, I’m down 70lbs I have 60 more to go for my goal. Some of my success is because of you I love the way you approach fitness and nutrition especially! The way you approach nutrition on being good, 80 to 90% of the time with eating whatever you want the other 20 to 10% of the time within reason it’s sustainable and I would like to thank you for the information. Because of you and Dr. Mike, I can see my penis again and that makes me happy. Cheers!

“I can’t wait to feel hungry again” brooooo that is so real after you’ve been gorging yourself with whatever and feel gross 🤢. I’m just getting out of that. This video in general is so real and I appreciate it because like I said I’m just getting back on the path after getting off. I like feeling healthy and not icky from crazy insulin spikes. Idk how I lived like that for so long before. Definitely the idea of homeostasis is true and I’m glad I changed my homeostasis.

@@Dojosreview Exactly! We have an over abundance here. I had to learn how to eat all over again because I was never taught how to eat or what to eat. When I was growing up, it was about just filling your stomach with cheap carbs so you didn’t go to bed hungry. I would binge eat at places like after school programs because I didn’t know if I was gonna get to eat when I went home. Now since I am in control of getting my own food, I hoarded it and would get caught up in eating alllllll the time. So I learned how to eat all over again but still slip into eating too much.

@@Dojosreview That’s awesome!!! I bet you are glad to be feeling better! Same here! Awesome stuff! I've been on a weight loss diet since October, currently down around 60lbs. Last year in January, I didn't want to diet, I went over why I eat the way I do.... boredom, makes me feel good/happy, and is easier. So I decided to do weight lifting for my mental health and to get myself into a healthier mindset. When October rolled around, is when I felt ready to diet. I still have 70lbs to go, but I'm mostly focused on body fat percentage. For those wondering, I'm doing calorie counting. The biggest thing that has stopped myself from feeling hungry most of the time, is a large portein shake in the morning. The biggest criticism that I have is that you don't include an eclair with your protein donut balls. You know that after having two balls, people crave that long, cream filled shaft of a pastry. Give them that happy ending, don't blue ball them.

I'm doing a quite aggressive cut rn with lots of exercise and very little food (in comparison), but the weight is going up 0.2 or 0.3 lbs every now and then. I'm reminding myself it's very likely just inflammation from all the working out, but seeing that your timeline looks the same is very comforting.

For the orzo, you can usually find a high protein orzo box in the pasta isle. It tastes almost the exact same as regular orzo, but it's made from a variety of beans so it has 2-3x more protein than regular orzo which makes it an awesome carb option.

I love Will’s honesty. He could’ve totally kept this a secret and fixed the issue without telling us.

I love Dr. Mike's videos (especially on OF). I've been using his app since October and these 5 months I've seen the best gains of my entire training career.

I’m officially down 50 lbs today and your point about trusting yourself when your weight fluctuates is so true - thanks for this video, makes me feel less alone in this 😂

Could you please make more videos about the other workouts, you show the chest + back workout, you can also make a video for the other workouts you did (Shoulders + Arms / Legs + Lateral Delt + Biceps / Upper Body / Lower Body + Arms)? By the way, I loved the video and all the lessons about nutrition and everything, ty for that 💪

Great video as always. I’m in the same boat. Got lazy the last few months and gained 10lbs as well. Just started dialing things back in.

I love everything about this!! Last year I was 320 lbs with over 30% bodyfat. I did 2k calories each day (focus on protein) with 1 cheat meal a week. I dropped 70lbs and im around 17% bodyfat. I went from a size 42 pants to a 34. Everything in this video is what I did. Thank you for sharing this information, the part where you say it needs to be sustainable is 100% the reason why diets fail. Build it around your life and be realistic. 2 lbs a week is over 100lbs a year, chip away at the mountain.
