I understand how you feel that's exactly how I felt yesterday when I graduated from ASU. Yesterday didn't feel like my graduation like my hard work was going to get recognize. I cried all day yesterday eating edible cookie dough.

This actually made me cry because I’ve been feeling the exact same way. I just graduated with my Masters and it was one of the hardest 2 years of my life and I was feeling so sad & disappointed that things didn’t go as planned with no ceremony or party or celebration. But we’re all in this together, and you’re right, your feelings are so valid. It’s totally okay to be sad & disappointed.

it really sucks that people might berate you or try to invalidate your feelings simply because you’re not dying. your feelings are SO valid and just because you’re sad about this doesn’t mean you can’t be grateful for your health at the same time. it doesn’t have to be one or the other and i don’t think people realize that. i can’t even imagine how hard this must be for you and i’m praying for you💞

I started watching you through your europe vlogs after high school so seeing you graduate college feels so full circle 💛 (my first impression was: oh my god there's no way she's that pretty and so nice, but then you proved me wrong and i kept mistaking you as Blake Lively's little sister hahah) I am so happy you've finished college!! not in a way anyone expected but you stuck with it and met your goal girl! So so proud, also your mom is incredible going above and beyond making sure you feel celebrated!! Also it's completely okay to grieve how things happened and no one has a say in how you feel, graduation is not a casual thing, obviously everyone hyped the day and it unfortunately didn't get to happen the traditional way, still i hope you celebrate yourself a lot these days! I graduated this year too from Nursing and I feel the same way you do.. to not be able to walk across the stage and accept my degree and celebrate the past four years of something that took up so much time and I worked so hard at truly is devastating in it’s own way... I’ve had several breakdowns so if you wanna cry, cry girl. I feel your pain

I feel you so much on being a 2020 grad and not feeling like your 4 years of hard work are being celebrated or appreciated as you always expected. I'm personally having a really hard time struggling with it as well and being upset about our circumstances. It just feels like theres no closure b/c everything ended so abruptly but just know your feelings are valid and your allowed to be upset and your not alone in feeling like that

congrats keaton!! I’m so glad you talked about your feelings about graduating. My graduation from SFASU was supposed to be last friday and there were definitely some tears. I think it’s so hard bc experiencing graduation gives you closure on this huge chapter, but like you said, our grad felt like just another day :/ I hope when this is over you can celebrate this huge accomplishment with your loved ones 💓

I can't believe how old we are all getting haha i've been following you for so many years, since you were studying in high school and i can't believe now we are both graduating (actually i'll be graduating in june 'cause in spain we haven't started yet finals). I 100% feel exactly how you feel. I’m a high school senior and my prom was suppose to be the 30th and graduation next month... This makes me so sad for you I graduated from Cronkite with the same degree so I totally understand how much hard work went into this day just for it to come up short 🥺 I really hope you think about going to the ceremony in the fall I know it’s not the same but in years from now you will remember just how special the graduation ceremony was!! Going through university is hard enough - let alone being a KZfaqr, travelling, etc. You’re totally allowed to feel bummed about not getting the grad experience you deserved after all the work you’ve put in. I cried so much in my living room on graduation. I just graduated with a BA in Journalism too from the University of Oklahoma! Congrats to you! I’m so sad for us and all the other college grads who never get to experience the real ceremony:(

I feel you girl! I graduated from ASU this week too and my whole family lives in Pennsylvania and was supposed to fly out here and it was something I've been looking forward to for years. I wish more than anything that we had the big graduation in the stadium :/ we'll never forget this.

You are absolutely “allowed” to be sad! You’re right! Your feelings are valid. It’s sad and you worked so hard for this moment. While it’s just a moment, it’s a huge monumental moment in your life that unfortunately you can’t get back. I wish things could be different but just remember that you worked four long years for not just this moment but for that degree & the memories that came with the four year. I 100% feel this. I graduated from VT this weekend and my parents really went all out at my house and it made me realize how important and big this milestone is... it made me so emotional and I cried way too much. But, you did it, we did it, we got our degrees! There will be so many milestone's in this lifetime!

I feel the exact same way as you (I also graduated from ASU yesterday). I worked so so hard and sacrificed a lot the last 4 years and I was really excited to celebrate with my family. This day meant as much to them as it did to me because I’m a first generation college student so I’m sad that we didn’t get to have that moment together. But, I look forward to getting to walk in December, even if it is a few months late :)
