Complications, complications. I liked that part of the crisis where you were trying to work out what other people were doing. It made me smile. As an introvert I find that so often, when you look outside your own mind you end up with more questions than answers. If you ask me, the restaurant created the problem for you. Anyway, haven't watched one of your vids for a while. It's nice to come back to them.

I really like your English videos. Japan vlogs from the minimalist with the right amount of humour is like perfect mix for me. Hope you'll keep them coming! One of my biggest wishes is to see Japan one day.

who would have thought!? in america, people do slurp pasta but it is considered bad manners in public... those who slurp like to say, "in some cultures..."! (i realize this may not be helpful information)

In my culture, slurping means that you enjoy the food. Eating quietly usually means that you are either bothered by something or don't enjoy the food. I think it should depend on your preference, the context of the situation, where you are, and who you are with. Anyway, you can always say sorry if they complain. If they don't you can't just nonchalantly mention that the food was too delicious that you had a hard time controlling the slurping.

The slurping thing also bothers me a bit, because I think it depends on where you are and the type of food you eat, but obviously people have their habits!

Quite a dilemma at the pasta restaurant! I would say if they provided nothing but chopsticks and the dish you were eating was a pasta noodle then you should be allowed to eat in Japanese style! But what do I know, I’m just a Canadajin!
