In this video, I am discussing how life can be amazing without specific goals with a timeline. I always wanted to talk about this so I'm glad that I am finally delivering this to you!

I really applaud you Sena for admitting that you do not have goals. It seems like it is a bad thing if you do not have goals and people look down on you for not having goals. I have faced situations where my own family members reprimand me for not having goals and compare me to others who have attained their goals. It makes me feel a failure and I now constantly question my very existence. Sometimes I wish i was not born in such a extremely fast-paced and ambitious world. But thank you for the video. At least it makes me feel I am not an utter failure.

Thank you so much for watching this video and sharing your experience! Please allow me to say that you are the reason why I make videos on KZfaq. My opinions might not be popular in our fast-paced and ambitious world but I believe that I understand the struggles and pain that come with trying to keep up with this trend. You are not alone in terms of how you feel (I mean at least, I feel exactly the same way as you do!) and I hope you keep experiencing life in your own way because I know you will meet like-minded people who can comprehend your perspectives and love you for who you are :)

This is a truly beautiful way of thinking. I am a Zen Buddhist. We only have this very moment. We can only breathe in this very moment. The past is over, the future unknown. Mindfulness is the way to live in every moment. If you live in the moment, you are living in meaning. I live the very same way with my husband of almost 23 years. We are the bestest of friends and have no goals except to live in love, kindness and peace. To lead with love and kindness, to ask ourselves, is this the path of love? Keep living in love and you will never go wrong. I believe the only goal in life should be, to be more loving. Aloha, love and peace to you from Hawaii. ❤️😘💋🌈🌺🌊☮️💫🥰❤️

I really do like what you say here. Modern day hustle culture tells us we always have to be grinding our lives out working towards some sort of achievement, whether its being financially independent by a certain age or reaching a certain level of success. However whenever I would try to do this for myself, it would always feel inauthentic and would often lead to general failure or me going down a totally different direction just because my life and intuition lead me elsewhere. This is also a more subtle idea often taught within the Taoist and Zen traditions to where practitioners are taught and trained on how to follow one's own authentic nature in each moment as opposed to chasing after artificial goals that others have laid out for you. I think what's more important than asking if someone has goals is whether they derive a sense of meaning and purpose from their lives, and if so, what aspect of their lives do they derive that meaning from? Keep up the good work Sena, -Michael

I see ur point❤ I don't have goals in my life too😊 Simply working and paying my bills Taking care of myself, old mum and brother Consumes my daily time, energy and limited income❤ I adore New Zealand but living here is all I can do💖 Life changing Goals need dedication, time, money🌺 Life is so beautiful And if reincarnation is real I hope I can come back to life as a human again ❤ Thanks for the vid🎉

So interesting! I also don't like my life to be too predictable. I'm learning to listen more and more to my intuition and then I'll see where the journey takes me. We never know how long we're going to be here✨

Hey, I really liked the video and I appreciate your perspective on this topic. I don’t feel differently when you spoke about how those unrealistic goals and future timelines could cause unnecessary stress on your life choices. Hell, I experienced the same when I was younger focusing so much on progressing in my career. Which is why I do agree with you on that side of the conversation and I don’t apply timelines to specific goals in my life such as creative writing. However, I felt conflicted to not have goals at all and live entirely with my present choices. You see, to follow that ideology would be detrimental to myself since I wouldn’t really do much with my life. I wouldn’t have been interested in pursuing information on certain topics or even bettering myself unless outside influences pushed me to do so. A contradiction to my belief of avoiding conformity, creating your own circumstances, and forging your own life. I may have misconstrued a bit while listening and watching the video since you do still have a somewhat similar ideology of giving meaning to your own life. I do respect your decision to turn away from some of your goals. It’s extremely empowering to me learning that you can leave some of your goals even if you love them. That helped relieve some stress I was currently feeling. I am kind of curious if you simply follow this intuition of yours at every turn or was it something that was more cultivated over the years as you saw success within it. Please do share, I’d really like to know. I enjoy listening to your topics a lot as I’ve been watching over the years.
