I haven't actually watched Ninjago in a while, but Dareth was always one of my favorite background characters. I do have to agree that he's the kind of character that should be used sparingly.

dareth is a character that in my opinion can be very well worked, instead of a boring character is only used for comic relief it could be a character that could be part of the main group always helping ninjas, even without elemental powers, but only use he as a silly and boring character.

Even if he’s not part of the core cast, he still has a lot of stand out moments. Protecting the students at the aquarium, holding his own against some Sky Pirates, putting together Nya’s kabuki disguise, taking control of the situation when Kalmaar flooded Ninjago City, trapping him and several civilians in a bus. He may be a joke, but he really shines when it counts.

I'll say it, I love Darreth cuz he's a pathetic guy who acts like a chad, and he knows it. And I think that's more fun than some characters in ninjago that are literally blank sheets.

A perfect example of showing characters with no elemental capabilities, but still displaying great contribution and entertainment in Ninjago would be, in my opinion, lil Nelson and Antonia. I seriously enjoy watching them, whenever they're on screen, due to how they're fun and cool to watch. One thing I love the most about the two aside from their sibling-like relationship and audacious bike stunts is how they're doing their best to make a difference in Ninjago despite not having any powers and simply being paperboys. Examples of their best moments was when Nelson informed Wu about the Ninjas being trapped in the pyramid which later saved their lives, and when Antonia delayed Kalmaar's schedule by keeping the Storm Amulet from him, the longest. Those were truly exciting!

Honestly, up until Seabound, I never cared or payed much attention to Dareth. I just like how in Seabound he was trying to save people and was actually doing something pretty good. Before Seabound, I could've cared less about him

Dareth played an important role in Season 9 especially- imagine how much darker that season would have been if not for his comic relief- besides, since Jay got sent to the First Realm, someone had to fill in for him!

Whenever I see Dareth on screen, I literally start cheering. I do wish they did more with him but I actually find him really funny and he’s honestly one of my favourite characters overall, not just side characters. He reminds me of a less cool Johnny Bravo. I really do despise Clutch Powers though. I really don’t like that guy.

Season 8/ 9 dareth was the best, other than that I just find him annoying and unnecessary. Still not as bad as clutch Powers, and he's good in small doses, regardless you know you just started war with generic stud. And I am very interested to see how this ends.

Dareth is one of those background characters whose so pathetic and stupid you can’t help but love him. He reminds me of Shaggy and Scooby in how he manages to somehow always get out of situations relatively unscathed by dumb luck.

Dareth is the special seasoning that elevates this show to greatness for me. He’s not meant to be taken seriously, he’s just pure comic relief for the most part. He’s used just enough where you get maximum laughs and not too much where he stops being funny.

I love dareth since his first appearance in season 2. His character, for me, seems to be on a quest to be a hero since he met the ninjas, and saw how strong they were. And after being useful in the stone wars he belives that he can be one. In season 4 and 9 he did a lot more bad than good. But in season 9 we could see that he wanted to be more useful. That's why he wanted his own power, to help.(although the bathroom jokes were bad) Which led to dareth from seabound, who was helping people even without a power.

Regarding Dareth I always found him really annoying. I remember when I first watched the finale of Season 2 , getting so upset that he was involved in the final battle. But after a while I just got used to him just hanging around. I agree with your point on his character during Hunted. Dareth was unbearable! Glad he's getting very minor roles/appearances. Now if only Clutch could be erased from the show completely, then I will know true peace.

The potion that he drank from Mistake' was basically a laxative. One of the things he said was that he "peed out his entire bodyweight". I really wish that they went through with this and he'd actually start training to be ninja and he could be added to the team. You look at him before and his print shows that he's fat. And still they show him as fat.

Without Dareth season 6 wouldn't have happened. Because Dareth got the ninja famous, so they went to the hospital (which reminds me, Kai said they should go to the hospital, so it was partially his fault, too). Then they ended up getting late and didn't stop Clouse, who then opened the Teapot of Tyraan. Thanks a lot, Dareht 😞😞😞

I am mixed on Dareth as I do enjoy his appearances in a few seasons but in seasons 6 and 9, I don't like him at all. In season 6, he is borderline sexist. In season 9, his toilet jokes are soo bad that you can laugh at it for how bad it is. Even though season 9 is my 2nd favorite season, I have to agree that Dareth is bad in it.

I don't mind Dareth, I liked him in season 2, but he kind of got a little anoying in seasons 3 and 7. But I absolutely hated him in season 9. So, it depends on the season for me for Dareth.

i like dareth but hey i respect your opinion, and i actually agree on several points you made, but to me personally he was a good supporting character in some seasons, particularly when he actually helped the ninja by leading the stone army, the one thing i dont like about his character is that for every other season he screwed everything up far too many times

as ive gotten older, ive come to realize that half of season 2 is recycled storylines. Garmadon uses the mega weapon to make a new bad guy and the ninja defeat them. This keeps happening up until episode 20 and some stuff actually starts happening. So I agree season 2 is a low point but not the lowest. I think maybe season 7 and up are the worst ones.

Dareth probably sold his dojo to buy that karaoke bar. I do like him a little in Seabound, he redeemed himself a tiny bit in that season. But yeah Dareth is one of my least favorite all around characters in Ninjago.
