I know I hate my work. But I don’t know what kind of work I will love doing professionally. That’s the problem.

Work is not an issue generally but the toxic management, culture and weak labour law implementation. Same companies abroad have a better culture but in India treat people as second class. In case our legal system had been fast, this corporate nuisance wouldn't exist and youth need not had to suffer.

I don’t like the idea of jobs at all I don’t want my life to be that organised. I love playing music but if I was required to do it I disturbed for 9 -12 hours a day with rules and pressure I’d quit. Work is shit. I’m not lazy I’m just not wired up to be that structured. The only thing that keeps me from living in the woods is my occasional need for penicillin.

It's easier said than done. If you try changing a job because you don't like the field, lack of experience makes it almost impossible to make the transition irrespective of the skills you have. If someone gives you the chance, you join as a fresher with a small salary. This is a big issue when you are the only breadwinner of your family !!

Though I took the decision few weeks back but the thought process in my mind were in sync with what you had spoken in the video. I did my MBBS and after that the job was mostly clerical and i hated it like anything so finally i left it... To prepare for post graduation... NEET PG... and its horrible.. My parents don't understand me neither they are supportive.. And i listen stuff like m a failure... But ya in hope of that one day when ill show them i was right!

I, for one, hate my job. Constant taunts, micromanagement, slogging like a slave for 10-12 hrs day on an average and getting paid in peanuts (33k p.m (high variable+low fixed pay combo))! And it's not some small-time entity. It is one of the Big 4s. Furthermore, have to report to three seniors (two of them just allocate their share of work to me, and I have to do it because the Associate Director said so) as I am working on three projects. Wish I could switch over or take a break to clear my CA exams, but my CV would get spoiled as I joined the org. three months ago. Plus, had already taken a sabbatical of two years earlier. So much going on in my life. Stuck in a catch 22 situation. Sigh. Can't sleep, crying everyday at night to sleep. Just want to run away.
