It is getting chilly outside! I'm saying goodbye to my flowers, airing out sweaters, and preparing for the frost. Hope you enjoy this cozy day at home. My favorite time of year is upon us. Ever since I was a child, this time of year has always been so magical for me. I spent the entire year looking forward to Autumn. There is nothing better than the air getting colder, the leaves turning bright oranges, yellows, and reds. The time of harvest and preparing for the winter, the smells of people baking and cooking delicious, hearty meals to fill the soul. All of the holidays that bring people together. There's nothing like Autumn... 🍁🍂

Art is such a favourite thing of mine. I am not an artist, but I am in love with it. I recently bought a basic how to art kit at a place called Micheals and I looked at all the things, the brushes, different paints, pencils, and read the how to book. I was very artistic as a child, I drew, painted mostly with oil, and I remember that I loved how it made me feel. I am hoping to get that beautiful living in the moment feeling back. As a child, I always wished to photograph, but since I am blind my family thought that I shouldn't get my hopes up when it came to visual things, so they disencouraged it. I think Autumn is my favorite season. Ever since I was little, I would admire the trees changing colors and the beautiful sunsets that ended the days early. I feel so at peace and at home in fall weather. Love the serene atmosphere made with your candles in your beautiful cottage ❤

I’ve only been in Texas a little over a year. I love how wonderful the weather is in spring and fall, instead of being mere extensions of winter and summer like in California. Tonight I went outside and for the first time in months the air felt cool. The crickets, and the moonlight made it so peaceful.

What's not to love about Autumn? This is the season of coziness, warmth, blankets, nice hot bath, hot chocolate, tea, coffee with delicious silky cream! This is the time of the year where you can come into the house and smell the wonderful Aromas of braising meats, sweet potatoes in the oven, cinnamon, nutmeg, Ginger, Brown Sugar, and Apple ciders keeping warm on the stove! This is also the time that potpourri makes its entrances really makes a statement as the windows and doors begin to stay closed more keeping the wonderful aromatics in Aromas in the season and doors. I love to see people decorating their porches with a different pumpkins and squash. So cute to see the Scarecrow and wreaths on the door. I absolutely adore this time of the year. Nature repaint herself with a whole different palette of colors for the fall with you're my favorite. I can't tell you of all the Magnificent shades of orange, paprika, nutmeg, rust, Browns, purple, Reds, yellows and so on. How is your sandwich. The air is crisp and clean and refreshing. I could just go on and on. Enjoy this time of year and I definitely look forward to the wonderful fall and winter holidays that will soon be upon us.

I do not understand Spanish but it sounded absolutely beautiful. And you are so right about the tendency to romanticize the past. I am guilty of it myself. I think that one of the most important things living in this modern age is learning how to use technology to benefit you, not hold you back. We can romanticize the lifestyles of those who lived before us, but I must say that I am so grateful for the internet and for cameras so that I can share in the beauty of other people's lives. At the same time, I am also aware that the internet can be a nefarious, negative, and dangerous place. But it really depends on how we use the tools available to us. And I think you have done a phenomenal job of using technology to bless and inspire others. ❤

This was delightful! Fall is the coziest season. As someone who suffers from an illness that leaves me very photo sensitive and almost allergic to sun/excessive heat, I too am excited for the benevolence of autumn. ❤ Candles, salt lamps, warm drinks are all a lovely seasonal feeling and it's exciting to learn a few more through this video. 🍁

I, too, love the fall! I'm so happy it is here at last. I got married in October because I wanted to be married in the autumn and we had a glorious honeymoon in the Blue ridge area of Virginia... So glorious! The cyanotypes are lovely. The entire process of gathering, drying and designing the layout was mesmerizing. I found myself more appreciative of the beauty of these botanicals in every phase of their life. And then you extend it through your art. Pure bliss.

Here we are waiting for our first frost which, I'm told, won't be long in coming. Then I can prepare my gardens for winter, begin the process of emptying my containers of their flowers, & generally button up everything for the season. The nut & fruit sets on the trees are especially heavy this year, a strong indication we're in for a long, harsh, & very cold winter,

You continue to be SO inspiring. I'm coming out of a painful, difficult, soul-draining season of my life. And I'm returning to the simplicity and quiet and authenticity that I somehow lost sight of, from when I was younger. I'm in a small apartment for now, but I've adopted quite a few houseplants, started a fairy garden, and have taken up painting again. I let myself relax and feel lazy if I need to, and relish the sun coming in my windows (my home before was very dark, very little light coming in, I didn't realize how much it affected me). I am alone, and sometimes fearful that I may be alone forever. But I'm getting to know myself again, and it feels incredible, even amid the grief and healing and tears.

Autumn is my most Favorite time of year. I wish I lived where the colors of Autumn were always around us. Something about an oversized sweater, warm socks, curled up with a cup of tea under our dogs (and of course the husband... ). I’ve always loved the fall and spring seasons best, when Mother Nature does some of her most impressive work… Living in a mountain valley… in NY , I always appreciate the starlit sky … especially more visible with cooler weather.It’s amazing what you CAN… see, looking up… but also to think what lies beyond the stars that are visible to your eye from your spot on the earth. Enjoy the Autumn… and all the colors and changes it brings.

I’m British and live in Colorado, your videos are so reminiscent of my childhood in the English countryside. Sometimes your reference to fairies, fairy tales and bunnies make me kind of homesick. But in a good way. 😊 I would love to live like you do again.

Dear Paola! I don't usually leave a comment, but I want to thank you for your wonderful content. When I am at home on our little farm, your videos are a lovely source of inspiration and I feel like you are a dear friend. When (as right now) I am in my dorm in the city, your videos are one of the most essential tools to keep my sanity. I am a highly sensitive person and have been living in quiet areas close to nature all my life. Having to spend the majority of my year in the city in order to pursue my studies (interpreting and translation, which I am very passionate about) has been very stressful. Your videos remind me of my home far away (which is bittersweet), but you also always show how I can make the most of my current situation by living more slowly and mindfully, and by implementing creative activities into my day. Love your candlelit cottage as it’s very welcoming and love all your artwork and the flowers around cottage. Love watching your videos my dad used to press all the flowers in a book too. I had wonderful memories growing up in Ireland

Your craft and theme today was like Aki no yonaga, meaning long evening of Autumn. It is neither cold nor hot, it's just easy to be. Its the tasteful time gifted to living things. Autumn in your place is nice when you can get out with summer clothes. In Sweden, especially in my place, I have to wear winter jackets and enjoy the strong wind and rain 😀. But it's also the best season for a slow living and for a trip to yourself journey. I love music in your videos.

I really love see all your videos. I was raised in a small town in southern Brazil. Now I'm living at São Paulo, one of the biggest cities in the world. I really have difficulty adapting to the metropolis' way of life. Your videos send me in thoughts to my old hometown. The brief shot of the stars in the black, black, sky was fantastic! Tell your brother we will miss him.. I thought he took the shot of the stars! The cyanotypes were wonderful. Somehow felt nostalgic, and yet calming to see the dried flowers and sprigs eternally frozen in art. .
