I have a 42mm one and it is my favourite. My wrist is 7,25 inches in girth and is more flat than round so I can get away with it. Also, i think the 42mm is a big watch for any wrist, designed to be worn big. Though, I am drawn to a 38mm version as well - it's more classy 👔 Khaki king is in 40mm but it has that day-date design which i don't like. As always, a pleasure to watch James talking about watches 🙂

It’s the same clasp as original. It looks like someone drilled a couple more holes for micro adjust. nicely done!

Morning James, another great review. I have the khaki king 40mm . They are great watches which excellent history. The 40mm suits me better as I have slightly larger wrist

63/4wrist like you, I find 39mm to be the sweet spot, just got a Olko Steve McQueen Steinhart and it’s a perfect 39er😊

I love the watch, but the reflection on the crystal really made me think twice, why can't Hamilton put AR coat on the back of the glass? it's a no brainer.

I own the Kahki field manual and it’s okay. Twice up to 3 times as expensive as similar alternatives on AE

Definitely more expensive than AE but the quality reflects that.

I think it's a great size. I think the Sarb is a similar size, but shorter lugs. I prefer the longer lugs on this watch, even though I have the Sarb033. I'd keep this Khaki if I was you. If you're fixated on the 39-40mm size x 47mm lug length, try the San Martin Vintage Explorer 39mm with the dome sapphire and golden proportions, but that's if you are okay with homages... I had one of those and loved the size, but I flipped it only because it had no date. Nearly all watches I buy now must be with a Date function.

The H70595133 is 40mm and has the red seconds but a different dial, however proportionally I think the 38mm looks better. Nice review.

I definitely think the 38 suits me better. I like the other model but this particular dial really stands out for me.

Field watches are traditionally that sort of size. I think that 38 is just about perfect.

I like a dial with all 12 numbers. It saves me money because it seems like none of the luxury brands are willing to put more than 12 3 6 9.

That does seem to be the style of some watches. Field and pilot watches tend to have numbers in the dials.

I own this watch and previously had a sarb033. For me this watch wins. Only thing is the lume is pretty poor and the inside of the crystal fogs up sometimes.

It is a really lovely watch. If it is digging up then the rear seal has likely failed. Might be a good idea to take it in to your watch maker to check it out.

I have this same watch. It appears that the clasp in your watch has been modified to add the additional two holes in each side. You’d clasp is NOT longer than my stock clasp

Agreed. I have the same watch and the clasp is identical. Looks like someone drilled a couple more micro adjust holes. Nice mod!

I’ve bought bracelets and leather straps from a website called masters in time. They seem to have lots of the real accessories for brands. I also bought a Seiko bracelet from them. Not specifically cheap. But they are the correct accessories from the actual brands.

I bought a 38mm. Quartz on S.S. Bracelet. I'm wondering, if I also buy a 38mm. Automatic on a Leather Strap, will I be able to Interchange the Bracelet & Leather Strap on Both Watches?

What would you pick between this khaki field and the christopher ward c65 dune/c63gmt?

Both are fantastic watches. But would probably lean towards the CWs. The dune looks great and I know the quality of the CW is hard to match at their price in my experience

Great review! Nice watch but too many little niggles for the price. The bracelet only has split pins, the original clasp only has two holes of micro adjust, for $450-$600 those corners shouldn't have been cut.

SPLIT PINS??? BRO, my $45.00 pigani pd1751 has screw pins. I mean its nice with the provenance and all, but we are in the 21st. Century, and i really doubt China didn't have a hand in at keast some part of manufacturing the watch. Not that there is anything wrong with that. My watch case is half full of them. I would love to own this watch however i do think it's a bit overpriced as is most everything in our market (USA) today. That is sad.

Lack of ar coating ruins this watch. I don’t know why watch brands release watches without ar coating. Looks absolutely terrible

If Hamilton would just shorten the Lugs, more People would be able to pull-off wearing a 40mm. size. As It sits now, I couldn't wear a 40mm. with those Long Hamilton Lugs.
