Dont worry the Smash community is the reason Smash esports isnt bigger. They can point the finger at Nintendo all they want but all they did was prove Nintendo right with not being apart of the scene.

@vwtdi1579 bro smash has a political divide because the nation has a political divide. We live in a time where if a guy grows out his hair and asks, people are forced to call him a female despite having a dick, balls, and Y chromosome or else they get banned from events Technicals didn't cause a divide, he is just fighting the good fight by pointing out a grown man who got sucked off by a minor is far worse than what Zero did. What he did isn't even political, it's common sense.

I think ZeRo's secret is that he wasn't afraid to innovate or try new things. He once said he was on Twitter before anyone else and was made fun of for it, now everyone's on Twitter. That kind of coincides with your initiative with playing both Sheik and Diddy Kong. But it's not as simple as, "Anyone can succeed if they try new things," I think the fact that you did try new things where others wouldn't enhances your ability to perform than either aspect or trait could individually.

I've noticed that talent in areas that I have experience in like music and coding is the same thing as Zero's idea of talent, that is to improve in less time than others. I've also found that talent is general, if you have talent at one thing you are most likely talented at any given other thing. I liked his analysis, because most successful people have the bias of overplaying the role of hard work so they can feel more deserving of their success.

Me and ZeRo have a lot of the same mindset. When I was young, that's how I thought too. "I could beat him if I just did this, I shouldn't be losing to this trash, etc etc." The only reason I stopped being toxic was because my health declined to the point I couldn't compete anymore. But also, there are points where I just have no idea how I lost. And I relate to that Esam comment so much too. I'm sure a lot of the high level competitors think like ZeRo does; especially in Melee. I think the reason why ZeRo calls himself a Narcissist is because of Blue Lock. Pretty sure he watched it and resonated with it. Because nobody would use that term that way otherwise. Only Blue Lock has ever used narcissist in such an odd way. But no, ZeRo, that's not what a narcissist is. A narcissist is someone that lets their ego get over their head. You've proven yourself many times. You're actually much more of a realist. A realist looks at things in a more unbiased way and that's what differentiated you from the others; where you'd play both Diddy and Sheik while everyone else only played Diddy or only Sheik. And that's what I loved about you. You'd use any and all options in your arsenal to win and don't let some pride get in the way like MVD did with Diddy. He didn't like the way you played Diddy and his pride made him play Diddy that he feels is the best; which is by being less cheap and more flashy. But by doing so, he limit his options. If anything, he's more of a narcissist than you. He kept saying he could beat you, yet never has and never got close to winning a big tournament. Don't get me wrong though, you do have some narcissistic traits, but so does many other people. It's normal. As well, the health decline I was talking about in the beginning is specifically my right hand. To this day, I still have to care for it. So all you gamers out there need to care for your hands and adapt a soft button pressing style. Armada never has hand problems because he has a soft, precise button pressing style. As well, for the small number of you out there, control your anger. If you've thrown a controller before or something similar, there's something very wrong with you and it will come back to bite you one way or another in the future. I got too angry all the time and it played a big part in why my right hand ended up this way. And as a reminder, M2K has hand problems and I've seen the way he plays. He had a very strong grip and pressed very hard. Sorry if it seems so out-of-left-field to see this comment. The video is very thought-provoking and it makes me think about things that I'd like for people to know for their own good.

As a top level player (not in smash) myself I personally think the "lose to someone and think I'll never lose to them again" is a normal mindset, but only for the passionate. I may be biased since the main reason I even became a top player was because of an argument I got into with the top players when I was a noob when I argued that they weren't special. But that's really one of the main things that separates success and failure, if you have the passion or drive to always believe you can make it no matter how hard it'll be an actually puttin it into action. while I can't say anyone can be #1 cuz some people truly are just built a bit different, I think anyone can shoot for the top and get somewhere close but without that passion an drive what you may feel is "doin the best you can to improve" wasn't anywhere close, an you just give up thinkin you'll never get there, which once you believe that you're 100% right. The amount of time an work it actually takes to get to the top cannot be understated, for me it took like 9 months of comin home from school an playin 9-10 hours every single day, no days off, I played so much I saw notes when I closed my eyes even in class lol. But yea before I rant too much my point was I think that level of determination while admirable isn't really a talent. Most top players aren't talented, just hard workers, that guy that whoops your ass regardless of how much you seem to work probably works harder an more effenciently than you realize. (some folks truly are talented an just pick it up quicker naturally tho, I'd never say they don't exist) If anyone cares I was one of the best players in a few rhythm games, guitar hero, rock band, flash flash revolution, and osu mostly between 2009-2011

Gotta say I agree with the politically charged stuff. The allegations and such already got me to a tipping point but the far left politics dominating the space is what finally got me to head out. Didn't enjoy competing enough to put up with all of that every other weekend. I also agree with it being a problem in society as a whole right now. Many things in media now have alienated me into finding new hobbies. Ironically healthier ones like reading, writing, art, cooking, chess, the gym and so on. More of an all-around hobbyist now.

Noticed you started referred to M2K as Jason, at least first time I'm noticing in a long time. Hopefully things are alright with you too
