For the FL5 Type-R, no trimming of the factory pieces is required. It's plug and play as long as you don't mind removing the fragile Honda interior clips. It took me about 1.5 hrs and I could likely do it faster next time.
The vents work well, they blow plenty of air, but can be shut off. I didn't notice much less airflow to the front either. I'm pretty happy with the kit overall but be warned the rear panel fitment isn't the greatest. It bothered me more out of the car than when I installed it.
