I love that bit where Alastor says "just cause you see a smile doesn't mean you know what's beneath", in episode 3 and 5 Alastor was able to show other emotions even when he was smiling

This is such a great clip for so many reasons- a little peek into Alastor's thought process, Charlie/Vaggie angst, the "let's make a deal" energy- but I can't stop thinking about Alastor laying on the bed kicking his lil feet lmao iconic.

Alastor is really unpredictable. It's hard to know if he genuinely cares (cheering up/helping Charlie) and is sent by Lilith, OR if he's taking an opportunity to influence Charlie more due to her state of mind, and with Vaggie not being there.

My theory is that it will tie on to the redemption part. It will turn out that Angels can be killed as long as you fight them for a selfless reason. So fighting the Angels for protecting others will allow you to beat them. And maybe with Hell showing some resistance it could force Heaven to a renegotiating table.

Love this scene. I hope for more scenes like this in the future. Their dynamic is great for fleshing out both of them more. You get little peaks at Alastor's thought processes and more moments of development and humanization for Charlie.

You never know what to expect from the radio devil but the speech about smiling really makes you think he wants to be her mentor.

I’m worried they won’t have Lucifer in the show much. But surely Charlie should call him if she’s worried the hotel & all of her friends are going to be threatened. Lucifer might be reluctant or limited in what help he can give during exterminations but surely he can protect Charlie (though I’d like them to acknowledge that Lucifer won’t be able to defend any sinners)

Here's the thing: Everything we see about Alastor makes us think liar, not to be trusted. So when he says all he wants is to watch Charlie and the hotel fail... why do we think he's telling the truth? And if he _doesn't_ want to see her fail, then...?

One thing I have to respect about the show is that, despite the rushed pacing & lack of worldbuilding or character interactions due only having eight episodes, but they manage to make it work and lead to strong moments with limited amount they have. The fact that Charlie & Alastor haven’t had too many interactions in the show does help build up the eeriness of the scene since we’re not sure what his true intentions are

Alastor is Charlies own Palpatine. Helpful but manipulative. I wonder if the plan that he and Lilith cooked up from the beginning was to make Charlie more ruthless as a way to give Hell a proper ruler that could repel Heaven.

Part of me wants to see them seal a deal in return for the information. I’ve been wanting to see his deal making abilities in action, and one with Charlie would be crazy. Plus, it would be *very* funny to see Vox’s reaction.

though if Chalie does end up killing/remove wings off Adam, Adam would literally have no one besides himself to blame and would learn his sadistic actions have some real consequences.

Btw there's an interview with Charlie's VA where she says her arc in this season is finding out how far she will go for the people she loves and concludes with the phrase "she'll go farther than even she thinks" So my guess is that she'll battle the exorcists and kill someone important But if it's Adam or Lute literally no one cares so... Idk who

If Lilith really does own Alastor soul this makes Charlie's moment of weakness really dangerous for both Lilith and Charlie. Charlies mistake may be soul crushing enough to warrant trading her soul for the information that could possibly save countless other souls as a means to atone. Having control over the soul of his Master's Daughter could be grounds to bargain for his freedom if not more and quite possibly more concerning... if it's not a Denizen of Hell he's under then that's huge leverage over all of Hell itself.

I can see Charlie killing Adam out of Self-defense (or Vengeful Wrath after Adam kills Lucifer, tbd), and suddenly becoming the Queen of a Hell that she wants to help redeem and seeing firsthand the challenges that drove her Father into apathy.

Yeah based off the trailer Charlie seems to have a definite change of heart and seems almost enthusiastic even about going to war with hell if it means fighting for her people. Interesting to see how this might all play out.

I’m hoping after Alastor tells Charlie that Angels can be “Un-alive,” she will thank him for the information by either giving Alastor a hug or a kiss on the cheek. If that’s a missed opportunity, I will be so disappointed.

OH MY GOD I GOT IT, so the angels attack the hotel (as said by adam), a big fight happens (because they can fight and kill the angels), sir pentious dies (vivi said someone on the main cast dies and it only makes sense its him) heroically and could end up being redeemed (just a possible hunch but who knows), but in the fight the hotel is destroyed and rebuilt bigger and better (the cards that were made)

I have some thoughts on this scene too! Be it there lengthy ones so I hope your patient... When I watched the pilot I was most excited to see Charlie and the radio demon's dynamic because they just so perfect! A radio host and a singer? Like bread and butter. And one's super evil while the other's super good!? Peanut butter an jelly! Plus with the Radio Demon basically being Charlie's director, as he helps with all the odd jobs as well as getting staff, I was expecting him to act as a mentor, which evil mentors that actually care are so interesting! I was super excited to see how this would play out but because the show has such little run time we basically haven't seen how The Radio Demon plays off anyone's character. But in that clip! With him giving her the smiling advice about how it gives your friends confidence and keeps enemy's guessing! THIS IS WHAT I WANTED, HIM TEACHING HER! Also you mentioned her fighting to defend herself witch I AM BEGGING FOR!!! SHES THE CHILD OF A FALLEN ANGLE AND THE FIRST DEMON PEOPLE! She HAS to have magic and power like crazy! If we don't see Charlie obliterate SOMETHING in the ENTIRE run time of the show I will OBLITERATE VIVZIE POP!

I think it's less that Alastor wants to see Charlie succeed and more: 1. He sees the Hotel as his investment therefore making it worth protecting. But for all his power, even he isn't immune to holy arms. Therefore, if he wants to fight Heaven, he'll needs a powerful demon like Charlie at his side he knows won't betray him. 2. People who are desperate can be more easily manipulated into making stupid decisions. Like, say, make a deal with a demon who screams 'untrustworthy' like Alastor.

It's either he's looking forward to her having to kill or he wants her to make a deal with him for what he knows. If it's the deal thing, either she makes one and it becomes a conflict or THE conflict of Season 2 or Pentious remembers what Frank told him in Episode 3 or Frank tells everyone, they rush up and tell before the deal is sealed. Either one whoever tells Charlie before he gets a deal will get put on his shit list.

Its interesting how heaven(or at the very least adam) seem to ignore that people can be born in hell. His whole arguement against rehabilitating the sinners is based on them failing to get to heaven the first time but everyone born in hell CANT get to heaven through any normal means. i would argue that adam shouldnt be able to kill charlie(since she was born in hell and hasnt had a chance to get into heaven) and that vaggie shouldnt have been kicked out of heaven because she was following the guidelines of her job(killing sinners). Adam doesnt care about morality though, it seems abundantly clear that he really shouldnt be in heaven at all. Everyone who has experience with angels in this show has told charlie that she cant convince heaven to change its mind and that doing so will lead her and those she cares for into danger. From the brief glimpse we got of heaven it is resistant to change to the point that they kick out anyone who attempts to change things internally. I really want a episode following emily to explore more of heaven. TLDR: her quest to change things peacefully was doomed from the start.

There's an irony to the show. Heaven states they are doing extermination to keep the power of hell low to prevent uprising. However, in doing so, they let hell find out the obscure way they can die. And, also leaving them what is needed to do so that hell would not otherwise have access to. Heaven made their army of invincible super soldiers vincible through the fear they could somehow lose

I am really hopeful we will get to see the overlords in action

Ok so after Episode 7 teaser, there are 3 main characters with different motivations in this series. Lucifer who is trying to make Hell a better place to live with his cute ideas/products and theme parks. Charlie who is trying to redeem sinners from Hell who can go to Heaven. And finally Lilith who I assume plans to make a rebellion to take over heaven. Until the recent episode and the sneak peak, it seems like Alastor is working or a partner to Lilith but Lilith is using a leash on Alastor as he may have his own plans later. Let's see how it goes. 😀

Honestly them killing the exorcists would literally be self defense at that point, I know Sera will probably act like its proof that they're consolidating their forces and growing too strong therefore justifying her view, but at the same time one could also argue that the exorcists are making sure only the most clever and strongest of hell survive, thereby raising their co-ordination and effectivity by slaughtering willy nilly, and either way one can't REASONABLY blame someone for defending their own life.

This scene look promising, but is empty due plot twist failing because there being no hint of showing Vaggie being a exorcist and you can argue with Adam revealing Vaggies as exorcist, which doesn’t work since it just telling us without any hint of past episodes. Plot twist need hint and there no hint of Vaggie being a exorcist. The plot twist just happen randomly and it’s suck. The only reason why people thought Vaggie was exorcist was her design. Ep 1 have chance to give hint of Vaggie being exorcist since it the extermination is happening Also one of my idea that I wish was in the show and will improve the mystery of Alastor is knowing he was sent by Lilith will bring more thought of if Alastor want help or not help Charlie and Alastor being under the Lilith control, instead of it’s clearly Lilith. We know Alastor and Lilith disappear for seven years. The reason I like this idea because Charlie never heard from her mother for seven years and hearing call between Lilith and Charlie will make Alastor seem to be good person who helping Charlie. Lilith will tell Charlie about her time of founding someone and Charlie’s dream is from his mother because it is statement that Lilith’s dream passed down to Charlie
