I have a country line splitter that came with a robust log catcher on the opposite side to where you stand. It's a big time saver, and I recommend you look into it.

I plan to add one. I wont pay the $80 shipping they want and just haven't had the time to male the trip to a tractor supply. Closest one is about 1.5 hours away

I finally got a log spiltter this year after splitting by hand for the last 12 years. It is so nice! Only problem now is i run out of wood to split.

@RyanWI715 I like splitting by hand but it's slower over longer times and the splitter helps make more consistent sizes.

For the money I didn't think I could pass it up. Was hardly used, rails have just started to have the paint wore through to the steel

I didn't think I could pass it up. Obviously it's an entry level unit but will definitely speed up some production times over time. If I wear it out, that just means I was able to move some wood!

Yes much smaller than the 40. Its not real fast but it does work well

I am 72 and until recently I was splitting by hand but my son bought a good used splitter for me on facebook- definitely speeds the process up.
