Right it's going to last a while too I think with how much customization is available for pvp combat. And I don't see any immediately apparent outliers for meta. Everything seems very viable. Not like D's where imo at least you could pick out the best stuff pretty easily

It feels like elden ring really has made a true sequal to the souls Bourne franchise that incorporates everything and more

@@camomoose1078 your summons cant kill something on their own. Your summons are only as good as you are, so if you're ass, then so are they.

@@NotAnAverageBea They won't kill on their own but they can carry you, I don't feel like saying if you are ass then they won't save you. I know I definitely had a huge difference in some instances when using spirits vs not using spirits. That is not to say people should not use them however, but they are another way of modulating the difficulty just as you can by summoning NPC phantoms or player phantoms.

@Robert Alice Bruh I'm literally at end game. Wolves will stunlock most early side bosses in the starting area. Later on you while get ashes like Oleg that can not only tank but deal a ton of posture damage aswell.

@@int3r4ct pyromancy is actually pretty fun in this game since it has faith scaling and spell charging. you can also turn yourself into the eye of sauron.

using it in farum azula and knocking people off the floating platforms is a lot of fun

@@nathancurnutt8074 Yeah exactly, I liked magic a lot in ds3 as it was more skill based but it sucked that a lot of spells like flash sword were just useless in pvp as they did no damage. Seeing how viable and interesting magic is in elden ring is awesome

@@tylerwroblewski2716 Yeah I loved magic to, but it took a lot of skill to use not just because of the low damage, but also because the game allowed people to roll like mad men with the proper spells to punish it like in ds2. Elden ring has given magic nice variably timed spells that can be charged or not charged with people having less health in general along side not allowing roll spamming to be nearly as viable with the little pause before you can roll again. I am actually really happy with it since panic rolling was just something sorcery couldn't deal with.

@@nathancurnutt8074 Yeah it’s great with how magic works into the game now. In ds3 I liked magic a lot but in pvp it was countered heavily from just panic rolling and required tons and tons of stats into intelligence, faith, and dexterity, plus rings and magic boosting armor just to get good damage.

Likely because a lot of his viewbase like both DbD and soulslike so the majority are still clicking. I didn't even like soulslike but decided to watch because of Scott and now I'm a proud owner of one Elden Ring

I go to high towers and places just to lob the cannonball at people from above and roleplay as those annoying NPCs that shoot you from afar

This character was level 44 with literally every single point into INT except I think 10 in Vigor

@smokinmoongrass meta PvP will be 125 for official tournaments and probably duels but invasions will very likely be active 125-150. It's rather false to say that ability scalings are the same when vig will go to 60 most of the time, end will go to about 25 at max for most builds, and offensive stats softcap at 50/80. Elemental phys infusions scale to 50 and full phys infusions scale to 80. Spell casting scales best between 60-80, but magic/sacred infusions scale well to 50. In a 125 build, you won't hit your offensive stat softcap, but 60 vig will be the baseline for most builds with 50-70 in your offensive stat depending on how much you sacrifice endurance and mind.

You can fake an "out of FP animation" using a "cannot cast" animation (which is the same thing really) by equipping a spell that takes more int than you currently have. This sounds like a really fun idea.

Not sure if you're aware but LukeYui make a Sekiro multiplayer mod a couple of years back, it's on nexus and adds pvp and coop, worth a look if it interests you.
