I love Seuns honesty. Fela died of AIDS...it was his older brother Olikoye..then the health minister who announced it to the country. Like Seun said Fela lived a fulfilled life, he fought for justice and freedom for the oppressed with his body, soul & music. Rest in power...Abami.

He wasn’t a fulfilled man I’m gonna say that now cause in all honesty the shrine was a jungle fela was the king of the jungle you mean being a vagabond and having many sexual relationships is being fulfilled then I think your wrong yes his music spoke volumes and as a person he was alright but he wasn’t a fulfilled individual he brought deconstruction to the youth and madness to the streets he helped push prostitution,African traditionalism and devil worship when you mean a fulfilled life you talk about people with purpose and have added back to the society the only thing he added was music he took more that he added created a generation of junkies and ruined many lives including the women he infected with aids

I remember his mum...she was dark-skinned and slender. She was a wive and one of his regular foremost dancers. One day, a coaster brought Fela's wives to Oyingbo Market for shopping. These women were smoking chunky wrapped weed openly in the coaster...I remember her and another light-skinned wife in the entourage as their faces didn't give a damn and they have that heavy makeup with the white lines and dots.
