Alan and Jessica are in an age gap relationship, they have 28 years between them. Jessica is 34 and Alan is 62. They met just over 10 years ago through a mutual friend at a party. When they first met, they never discussed ages so were not aware of an age gap. Jessica was not attracted to him at first, but really liked him as a person. After she started to intervene with his style and dress sense she started to feel an attraction grow and decided that she wanted to be with him. “I always say Alan fell in love, and I walked in love”. 9 months after meeting, Alan proposed. Due to the process being so quick, a lot of friends and family didn’t agree with them being together and didn’t show up to the wedding. Jessica knew from that day that the only way people would take them seriously was if they were to stay together and they did just that. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary. When Alan first met Jessica’s dad (also called Alan) it was extremely awkward, Jessica blames it on him going through a bad time at the time, but it probably had something to do with Alan being the same age as him and also having the same name! He even went as far as saying his own daughter has daddy issues! Alan (Jessica’s dad) has now come round to the idea of the relationship a bit more. In this episode of Love Don’t Judge we hear Alan and Jessica discuss the relationship with Jessica’s dad.

Come on she's 34 it's not like she's a little 19 or 21 year old girl. She's a grown woman who is ready for an adult mature relationship. Honestly once I hit my thirties I also became more attracted to older men because they were mentally and emotionally more in the same space I was relationship-wise than guys my own age who are still out there wanting to date around and mess with multiple women and not settle down and be serious. Plus older men are usually a lot more established and financially stable and able to provide which yes is something most women look for without having to be gold diggers. Or they are retired and have much more time to spend with you even if they don't have a ton of money. Quality time together is really important to me

@Salomon_G I mean it's still a little weird but she was still a grown woman and it wouldn't be on me to say anything anyway because it's not my relationship and I don't know the ins and outs and the motivations behind it. She doesn't seem to have like daddy issues that you would typically think of when a younger woman goes for an older guy. She seems like a very mature woman and obviously that's who she connected with so I don't see the problem. I've never had a problem with age Gap relationships. Not between older men and younger women anyway. It may seem like a double standard but I do find it a lot weirder when it's a much older woman with a younger man. Maybe not necessarily women today but throughout history it's been a well-known fact that girls and women tend to be more emotionally mature than guys their age and are typically ready for the things like marriage and family and settling down and being in a serious relationship before again young men that same age. So it's not as odd to me for a younger woman to be able to be in the same space as an older gentleman and have more things in common or at least be more ready for the same thing as relationship and future wise. Also women have always typically looked at men to be the providers and who better to provide for you than an older established gentlemen?

I like older men and I don't have daddy issues neither. Nobody is thinking about their dad when their kissing/sexing/with their man. We all want mates because that's what mankind does, mate. Problem is mating the wrong person. Look at all the females with a good dad around/stable home but still willingly get with the bad/or wrong boy/or man and allow them to ruin their lives as well as their kids. How many mates have people went through in their own age group trying to find the right person. But ended up stressed, depressed, angry, bitter, financially ruined, divorced, single, single parent, in prison or a coffin🤔 Don't worry I'll wait. It's not the age that's the problem, it's the characteristics, actions/or lack thereof of. The higher divorce rates, toxic, controlling, abusive, neglectful, sexually unsatisfied relationships/marriages are with people in the same age group. Just because they have a mate that's wealthy/old doesn't mean they're a gold digger. Had people choose a financially stable mate, then they wouldn't be financially struggling.

Good for them! I'm the same age as her and my bf is the same age as Allen.. We also obviously share a 28 yr age difference and have been together 5 years.. Life keeps getting better everyday and we have an extremely strong healthy relationship, I really don't know why people are so quick to judge based on age .. we are a normal "traditional" couple just with different ages.. The funny part is that it really makes us balance each other out and we're almost more compatible because of it ❤

@@CaraJohnson01 right!! I’m so surprised that most people in the comments are acting like they just met right now. A 22 year old is no where near being physically or mentally mature enough to handle a 50 year old, and no 50 year old should be pursuing something less than 1/2 his age.
