Its been a while since I've posted anything and while I've been off with much sickness, its given me a chance to start again and reevaluate what I want from a youtube experience going forward. You can find my dedicated book channel at ‪@TheChronicleofChris‬ . I look forward to seeing you there if you are interested in discussions about fiction, science fiction (both classics and modern) and any amount of translated fiction I can get my hands on.

Welcome back Chris, sorry to hear you've been unwell. I've been through similar breaks on my channel. Life can sometimes get in the way of things, and occasionally actively discourage you from doing things like this. I appreciate the honesty, try not to beat yourself up for not posting too - as your wellbeing is more important. Looking forward to seeing some new content from you! Adapting to different style and niches within your channels and KZfaq is a challenge. Make the content you want to make, and the second channel gives you a little more freedom. Looking forward to your new stuff! Bit cheeky of me here, but if you'd be up for a collab or discussion on films or collecting give me a shout!

Thanks Sam. I really appreciate the message and you still being around. I've always been a fan of anything you could find the time and energy to put into. Would love to do a collab of some sort - we have a lot of common ground so I'm sure we can find something interesting to dive into! 😮 There he is! You just popped back up in my Subscriptions! I watch them chronologically, scrolled back to where I left off, and there you were. I’m more a 📖 guy than a 🎥 guy - but I did spend the last few years of my cinema-going life going solo, but eventually that petered out too - so I’ll see you over on the new channel 👍

Hey Tufty! That's the spirit and part of the reason I decided to split things up. I'm going to try to make a concerted effort to do both but will definitely go with the flow on how life is treating me rather than putting any promises I can't keep lol. I hope you're well my friend :)

Going to the cinema by yourself is a great way to unwind. Glad to see you back in my feed, and I would disagree that you're a bad friend. It's the opposite.

Thanks Steve. I don't know what I would have done without our little group over the past 6 months. The Friday nights etc have become a burst of enjoyment into every week. I am massively thankful to you all and look forward to continuing on :)

Welcome back, Chris! I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos, and I also subbed to your new booktube channel as I like to follow both film and book content from you and in general. I've thought about making a second channel many times, but I've decided to stick to having one channel for all of my hobbies which might not to be good for the subscriber count, but like you I'm fine with having a weird small channel haha. All the best, hopefully the second half of this year will be better for you.

Chris, wow, I completely understand a lot of where you've been. I've been there too and had to take personal breaks. I've also found it tough to focus on my love of film, and when I'm watching a lot of films, that's a good indication that things are going well. Also I was pleasantly surprised to watch this video and hear nice words about us, but those reflect right back onto you. Have loved getting to know you a little bit through film and excited that will continue. As for the UK and sun, I can personally vouch that I've been in the UK 2 days when the sun actually came out.

Hey Chris, I'm so glad to see you back, I've really missed your videos! So sorry to hear you've been unwell, and hope you are very much getting better and doing better. I actually went through some similar things last year with work, and being forced to take quite a prolonged leave for my health. I also found enourmous solace in going to the cinema on my own as it happens, which as you say helps you to get out of the house, but also provides some wonderful escapes and experiences. Thank goodness for cinemas! If you decide to make any videos on the experiences, I look foward to watching them. Really looking forward to seeing what you have in store on the channel going forward as well. I think it's so important to be talking about things that excite you, and making videos that you are having fun making, and importantly at your own pace, as youtube can make that tough after a while as it starts to push you down certain avenues. Hope you find a new lease of life with making the videos that you want to make, and I for one can't wait to watch them! Once again, delighted to see you back!

Cheers mate. I really appreciate the message. It's funny. When I was going to the cinema on a Tuesday afternoon etc I was often reminded of your instagram posts in Curson and can only think of the multitude of cinema experiences I may have missed out on over that period if I didn't embrace it. Extremely underrated. I've enjoyed so many of your videos recently. Love the stride you've hit and the mix you've found. They are always so thoughtful and provoke good analysis in me. I need to get round to commenting and hope Rebecca found you well :) Hope to catch up soon :)

Great to see you back. Life can just hit you off the road and have you lying in the grass bleeding for a while. It happened to me in 2017 and 2018 and 2022.
