I can't begin to tell you how it feels to hear someone encountering Marie's voice and being so moved and eloquent about it. Her vocals have been in my heart and my soul for decades now, both cheering me and breaking me, allowing me catharsis when required (and sometimes when not!). Thank you!

My friends and I met Per (pronounced 'pear') and Marie (the same pronunciation as in English .... Ma-Ree) in Toronto, back in 1995 when they were promoting their "Crash Boom Bang" album. They were both so sweet and accommodating, posing with us for photos, signing all our records, etc. - It's always nice when a band you love is just as great in-person. The following year, we traveled to Sweden to see Per's band - "Gyllene Tider" on their reunion tour (they were apparently huge in the 80's), and every time we met Per, he was sweet and friendly. I love everything they've recorded, both their English and Swedish records, as solo artists and, of course, as Roxette. Too many favorite songs to make any kind of list. Glad you're enjoying them as well.

Marie was the whole package. She could make you 'feel' a song and she could make you believe everything she was singing. I listen to her sing daily...and she sang until her body couldn't sing anymore. Such an inspiration.

Anton, Roxette posted you again on Facebook apparently your excellent work got their attention. I Promise you the more you listen the more you will love and appreciate their music, trust me Marie’s (yes Marie not Mary) powerful beautiful voice filled with emotion has been ingrained in my heart and soul for over 30 years. I would recommend to explore her own music as well Tro an amazing song among many others, you’ll not be disappointed. Great job 👍

There's something about how they write the bridge that feels like a song within a song. They take you somewhere else before they bring you back to the main tune. They almost do that here but it's remarkable on songs such as Do you wanna go the whole way or Pay the price

I do enjoy your reactions to Roxette. They will always have a special place in my musical heart. Marie was such a beautiful person and singer. This is one of many favourites. Have you tried some of their early tracks? Surrender, I Call Your Name and Never-ending Love are songs I really enjoy still...sounds very 80s but still love them! ❤️

Yes. I’m from 86, and Roxette was the first band I’ve ever fallen in love with, even as a 2 year old toddler, I’d already recognize her voice when it came on the radio, my mom always tells me. Her voice is so special and deeply moving.

Run To You will always be #2 in my books. The first time I heard this song, I just knew I would be in love with Marie forever. She just sings this song with so much emotion and Per did a great job writing lyrics. And the violins in the background is just HEAVEN. I really appreciate you liking this song, and Roxette - they are SO overlooked and underappreciated. Marie was a phenomenal singer and person.

It makes me so happy to see how much you understand and appreciate Roxette, Marie's voice and this song. I grew up with their music, first heard them when I was maybe 13 and have been a fan ever since. It's truly baffling how they are so criminally underrated among American audiences.

Marie was so happy during this time, her voice was wonderful because her biggest dream came true. She had own family, her husband and baby girl, we can see them on this video. In 1991, Marie was so depressed and drank a lot of alcohol, she wanted to leave Roxette forever... But in December 1991, Mikael Bolyos visited her in Australia, and they fell in love and get engaged. That is why her life changed and she continued in Roxette. Marie told a lot of details of her life in her biography Listen To My Heart. I think it is going to be released soon in English.

Love your beautiful words about Marie. She was a national treasure in Sweden, and yes - she was a very humble, nice and down to earth kind of person, with a great talent for music. I know you probably don't speak swedish, but i want to recommend a song she sang in swedish called 'Sparvöga'. It's a beautiful song and i don't think you need to understand the words to actually feel it.

"Run to you [demo]" (dec 1992) and "Almost unreal [demo]" (feb 1993) sounds really similar. Then they did their magic at the studio and the final versions sund very different. This video is directed by famous director Jonas Åkerlund, who started its international carrer thanks to Marie Fredriksson. She started working with him in 1992 and then he worked with Roxette in 1993.

Roxette - one of the greatest bands in my opinion - the music, the lyrics - eeverything about it was simply exceptional. Really glad You keep coming back to them Excited, Fading, Been Love, Listen, Joyride, Look - could put them on repeat for a day, for a week, for a month and would never get tired of ... any of them ! Entire Joyride album - there's simply not a song on there that deserves a skip

I got enchanted by Marie's magic voice and extraordinary personality back in 1991 and that will never change, for me she will always be the best of all. I’m sorry that Roxette had issues with their record company by the time they released the Crash! Boom! Bang! album, the best they did IMHO. More people should have listened to that masterpiece. Can I suggest you react to Fingertips by Roxette? The Tourism version. It was recorded in Rio de Janeiro in a studio right below the Christ stattue and they said it was a very special feeling. We're proud of Roxette! Sadly we've lost Marie but Per continues to produce music! Another swedish group you should listen to is KENT. Have you ever heard them? I think you'll enjoy it. :)

Tom Petty Guitar style in the beginning is the feel i get, not BA. Just my opinion. Great reaction by the way. New to the channel but you earned my sub man👌

Thank you for reacting to this great song live!!! Marie has a prodigious voice!!! From this great duo you could react to Sleeping in my car; the rain; How do you do... And there is a recording of MTV unplagged, where Weekend's Here Comes is wonderful!!! Someday you could dare to react to a song in Spanish!!! I would recommend the live song "arráncame" by Vanesa Martín and India Martinez!!! Thanks Anton

USA label did them so dirty by canceling release of that album in North America... It could be such a banger!
