I had a feeling there was something going on in Houston for you...especially with your two recent trips! I literally told my daughter that everything she wants is on the other side of the 'comfort zone/fear.' I told her to think about this new season of her life as a plant being repotted and moved to a window with more light. We too are moving soon so I know the rollercoaster of emotions will definitely come, especially as this is the only home she's known to date. I personally, have thoroughly enjoyed watching you develop, change, and grow while in this apartment. A real metamorphosis took place before our eyes. G, think of this apartment as your cocoon. I’m a creature of habit and I’ve accepted that I don’t like change. I worked with Delta Air Lines for 15 years, not because I was happy, but because I was scared to leave. I’ve lived in Atlanta my ENTIRE life and I’m 57. When I left my patents’ house, I moved into an apartment. I lived in the same apartment for 5 years. I bought a house and I’ve lived here nearly 23 years. My heart feels for you! I’m sending you the biggest hugs. I’m so proud of you sis. You are courageous! You are brave! You are strong! When I got my Dream Job working for the Government, I had to relocate to Tuskegee Alabama. I didn’t know anyone. I even had to live with people I didn’t know. I won. I am celebrating 9 years with the Federal Government. It was the best move I ever made. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

You’ve helped me to understand how to find my new style. I have a 1 year old and since then my body has changed and my taste in clothing has changed as well. You were feeling so off because your body slipped into survival mode. Your thoughts and fears made you feel as though you needed protection from something that I guess is and isn't tangible, which is change. The thoughts you had about missing your family and making new friends etc all make you feel unsafe. This is so normal. I have relocated twice, most recently to Dallas and I have no regret either time I relocated because I trusted God and understood that I could always retrace my footsteps back if I needed to but, I never have! Proverbs 3.5-6 is the only bible verse I can really recite (not proud) because it is my lifes prayer but it especially important and comforting to me when I'm getting prepared for a big change. You got this, and God's got you!❤
