Күн бұрынIf you like diamonds, you’ll love this car. For everyone else, exercise caution. Terrible infotainment system, claustrophobic back seats, stupid buttons, obscured blind spot and the most unforgivable thing: no battery percentage. It’s a grumpy review, this - and apologies in advance if you have this car. It’s, like, just my opinion, man.

Andrew you are normally so pro EV so for you to rip this to shred's tells me its poor. I simply cannot wait for part two and see Mrs EV's reaction. I predict its going to be side splitting funny. Certainly a car to avoid for me.

I just had it for a month with Onto. I would have gone for an e208 or Kona instead but they didn't have availability at the time. 😞

@@MrEV Hi Andrew appreciate reply, the only good thing is that "Onto" gives a EV customer a chance to live with it for a month or so - then as you've described it's not a car you can live with and saved frustrating months and year's with a car not happy with, which in long run saves money and sanity !! I have Corsa E Elite Nav and it also not show percentage of battery only mileage as mentioned newer video, e208 have to go through onscreen settings to use ventilation systems etc Corsa uses proper buttons! Keep up great videos. Best wishes Peter

I have been driving the DS3 etense Ultra Prestige for the last 2.5 years. I like the car and some of its safety features, which you did not mention. The Heads Up display is useful. The lane control which keeps you in the lane has saved my life a couple of times. The curise control works well.

That thing you asked about: it's a wheel chock. You normally have 2. You use it to chock the wheels while you change a tyre.

I agree with your review i test drove one and my wife did not like it at all the lay out inside was confusing to her but on the plus side it is comfortable to drive.

Thank you for pointing out the stupid and pointless timer on ALL PSG cars. We really liked the citroen ec4 but the timer and tiny glovebox were a compromise too far. Sadly people new to evs won't realise that they may pay three times more for electric than they need to. Many other issues with these newer cars. Skoda want a grand for a heat pump and are trying to con people out of £645 for a charging cable! It's hard moving away from a 40kw leaf. Ordered an mg phev as don't need to commute anymore, it's loaded with kit, and need the comfort for the mrs. Going to test drive a soul for me at the weekend. Fingers crossed 🤞

The plastic item is a foldable wheel chock used when repairing your wheel/tyre.

I don't remember it being any noisier than the e-Niro (which isn't a very quiet cabin either, really). It could just be my dodgy audio recording. My lapel mic wasn't recording for large chunks of the video! 😬

What a nasty little car. I didn’t watch the whole video because of I got into that, and at that ridiculous price, I’d have got straight out. I’ve got an ENiro and while it was a little more expensive Kia don’t claim the car forms part of their ‘premium’ range. Crazy

Exactly - the e-Niro does have a premium price but there's no pretence there: you're paying for a great car and a fantastic EV.

Just double check essential ev features on whatever you look at. Glaring features missing on many such as mentioned here with charging timers.

For me touch capacitive interfaces, including those that force you to use a touch screen for climate controls in particular, to be a deal-breaker. Physical buttons everyday please!

Let’s put a few diamonds here and a weird sticky up thing on the rear doors to distract people from the lack of visibility, the claustrophobia and the crappy infotainment system. Awful design. You gave this car the review it deserves.

I had this as a hire car for a day recently and although I liked its exterior looks- there were too many compromises once inside and driving. I found the interface unintuitive ( glad to have seen you go through the various buttons and options). As a supposedly luxury brand I couldn’t forgive the lack of power seats and the absence of USB sockets in the rear. And was shocked at the lack of rear passenger leg room although I must temper that last comment with the appreciation that is it a small car only 4118 mm long that’s just 5.8cm longer than a Corsa. The trouble with this car when it was released was the existing competition at the time. Now 2-3 years later with the plethora of EV choice I just think notwithstanding the style (the appeal of which I can understand) there are more compelling choices which delivery better -boot space, range, and creature comforts for comparable money.

I was very sceptical about Ford but its gorgeous. Shame they don't allow the tech pack on the short range version. I dont need the long range.

I'm in the market for a new car and the DS3 was right up there. However, I soon realised that the raised section on rear doors was probably the worst bit of 21st century car design there is I have removed DS3 from my wish list.

On one of the EV screens in the centre, I thought it showed a battery percentage? It is a little buried though.

Its much better to watch an honest from someone, who doesn't get lent press cars, as those reviewers won't say anything too bad, as don't want to be taken off the press car list! The interior is awful, not liking that at all! Looking forward to part 2, when the family give a brutally honest review!

The infotainment screen being off set from the physical controls below would give me ocd .. even if it's probably placed to the right for driver convenience. Style over substance I think.

If that was a tense review - Flaviana is going to go to town ...but probably not. Honest review, cant argue with that. The good bits seem to be the drive train, charging and ride ...which is not saying a lot as that comes from elsewhere. Styling is always subjective but when it interferes with function then ...fail. Would have to conclude this is a me too product that seems all thrown together very last minute and given an artistic dash without thought as to usability.

We’re looking around at what to buy now: not even bothering to test this after just looking at it. The whole thing looks a dog’s breakfast inside and out - the Zoë we’ve got from Onto at the moment looks classier than the abomination you’ve got there. Hoping to hear what Flaviana thinks of it….

Holy moly. What an awful car! That designer should be punished by living in that awful thing for the rest of his life. What is the sense of the buttons in the middle?!? To collect dust?!? Why are french cars always so cheap and rubbish inside?!? I'm just so happy that we decided to bus an e-Soul 64kWh battery.

@@MrEV Maybe that’s one of the reasons the new Kona has removed the dimples from the front of what would have been the grill on an ICE car. I’ve just got a new Kona and love it. Of course every bug splatter shows up big time.

I tend to think most cars today are too dull, then there is this, I want to like it, but I also think that it's a bit too fussy with unnecessary design details. It's a difficult balance to get right, for me design wise I really think the best out there is the just launched Hyundai Ioniq 5 - that is just beautifully simple, crisp and different.

I couldn't agree more. I don't like design for design's sake. Ioniq 5 is both funky and functional by the looks of it, although I'll reserve judgement until I get inside!

@@MrEV Knowing how pleased you were (like me) with the total eNiro package I was half expecting you to extend the lease for another year.When I had my i3 on a 2 year lease I realised that at the time I was so impressed I extended that for an extra year.I purchased my eNiro 1 week after you in 2019 and still believe it is best out there for the money.

Yes it was a mistake bringing this car home. Now you have pissed your wife off again.. Citroen should never have let this one escape from the factory. None of the problems are serious but need to be solved. The good news is that they might lose value when second-hand...

Makes you realise what a good allrounder the e-Niro is. Like the Citroen and Peugeot the e-Niro is built on a ‘compromised’ platform as is the Hyundai Kona but they have done a better job with them than PSA Group. More space, better range and from what I can tell better built too. PSA will fall even further behind if they keep building their EVs this way while others develop their pure electric platforms which should always produce a better car. And when I say ‘car’ I mean an EV of course.

Best thing about this car is when you hand it back. Looks awful and too busy. I prefer the exterior sleekness of tesla's. I prefer manual control ,less to go wrong and lighter too. At least seat adjust, more than a zoe

Not a very helpful review. Anything remotely positive about the car was dismissed. "I have to be honest, the seats are comfortable..." was one concession made. I guess you are only sharing your opinion, but seemed like you were focused on crucifying the car from the outset.

You did repeat the interior review of the nearly round steering wheel, fiddly switches, slow navigation thing, etc, and I hope I don't win one - it looks dreadful, cramped, and with a big grille on the front for a fossil radiator! No thanks.
