Today we're making a delicious lemon caper pasta with the best seasoned breadcrumbs. This dish is similar to aglio e olio but made even better with briny capers and lemon garlic breadcrumbs. It's a vegetarian dish too. I know many of you have been asking for more of them. Enjoy!

This really is a dish that I think you should be able to make with what you have. I recommend always having a big jar of capers on hand along with lemons. And everyone has some old bread, right? As always the print recipe along with process shots is linked above. Thanks for watching my videos!

I am so proud of the number of subscribers, been with you since way back. Over the years you have put so many smiles on my daughters faces and elevated me to super dad. Pre Covid I traveled outside the US for work ~40% for nearly 20yrs. After the shutdown I decided being home I’m going take over the cooking. Your channel gave me the confidence after the first few months of complete failures, lol. Some channels show recipes that are so complicated for us amateurs. This channel offers “simple” but amazing meals!! Also since moving to MN from CT, finally real Italian food, lol. Thank you sir, amazing accomplishment!! And I’m sure my story is one of very many, so many smiles you have helped come to life!! God Bless!

Significant other* Don't reduce relationships to a job by referring to the person you supposedly love by the same title as someone you own a business with. It's pretentious and reeks of insecurity. You shouldn't need to label your loved one as a "partner" to know you're equal. I'm sorry, I just hate seeing love being equated to a job. It's too dang sacred for that.
@Hou413
@Hou413 9 ай бұрын
@@englishatheartI’m not sure if this is a cultural thing where you’re from, but “partner” is a very common way to refer to someone you’re in a relationship with in lots of places. It doesn’t come across as insecure whenever I hear this, and lots of people prefer it as a gender neutral alternative to “girlfriend” etc. that’s a lot simpler than “significant other”. OP just shared a story of maintaining commitment to their relationship. Putting in the effort and cooking four days a week is a big thing for a lot of people. I’m sure they understand the value of their relationship if they’re willing to do that, they don’t need to be micromanaged

One of my favorite things to make on the cheap is like a Cajun chicken and sausage Alfredo. I’ll get a couple of dollar boxes of Alfredo noodles, a bag of frozen veggies (onion, peepers, and celery), a pound of chicken thighs, and a pound of ground Italian sausage. Cook the chicken separately, and season it with Cajun/Creole seasoning. While doing that, in a separate pan, fry up the sausage and veggies. Then when it’s cooked thoroughly, drain the grease and add the water/milk per the Alfredo boxes instructions, and add the chicken to the mix. It’s pretty great stuff.

Aah, my friend, those seasoned and toasted breadcrumbs were, and still are, a staple in my house. We Sicilians call them mudica, and we use them in all oil based pasta. As well as sprinkling the mudica on salads. When we make clam or white pizza, we always aprinkle mudica on top. I think I've watched most of your videos and love them all. You are so unpretentious, and your son is a charming young lad. You have so many reasons to be proud. Thank you. And yes, when I make any oil based sauces, I always use the Frantoia olive oil. In face, I just picked up 6 bottles the other day at Pennsylvania Macaroni in Pittsburgh, PA. ...that tells you how much aglio e olio we eat.

We DO trust the taste tester! He's got a very developed palate and that's impressive for his age. Good job papa!
