Yet there have been statement made by science which would somewhat indicate that Quran verses is invalid. I may not have studied science to ur level, but I did many years ago touch upon its basics. Furthermore, the Quranic verse is clear and doesn't indicate intoxication: A - Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: ‘Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Aalameen (mankind and jinn)? Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)’” [al-A’raaf 7:80-81] Also, u are forgetting the hadith where homesexuality been forbidden too. The natural creation of Allah was never two men or two women it was Adam and Eve PBUthem. Allah could have easily done two men and two women but this in His wisdom was not acceptable. Also, just because Allah doesn't clearly mention it outright doesn't mean it is okay. Like for example TV isn't mentioned in the Quran nor is Mortgages, Porn, Casinos etc. So we use the rulings of Allah to decide whether something in modern day is acceptable or not. Homesexuality was never praticised upon any of the Prophets that God sent. They were either married or single. You have to ask yourself the obvious that if God wanted to he would have allowed His prophets to do it or even the people of the time. Because after all they r supposed to be our teachers and a topic like homesexuality would have been covered by Allah. And this is proven in history aswell as the hadith of the Prophet SAW. Thanks for the book suggestion, I would also suggest you have a look at Ibn Kathir Tafsir for the explanation of those verses you put forth. As well as studying the hadiths of the Prophet SAW where homosexuality has been clearly forbidden. In terms of the former the intoxication here is not referring to substance use like alcohol rather it was more to do with their state of mind. And if you look up intoxication on Cambridge dictionary you will see two definitions for intoxication. In terms of the latter, those men in question were not heterosexual men they would be referred in todays terms as bisexual. They had lust for two sexes, despite having wives they desired to express lust on men too. Thus, they choose to express desire for both sexes. No hetrosexual man in their right mind would be intimate with another man even by rape. The story of Lut PBUH was more specific to the act to desire intercourse with the same sex. On the hand I think it is important to note how Lut PBUH had patience for the people of his time how he tried to give them Dawah and was polite with them despite their desire. I think that is the key lesson that i take from Lut (AS) story.

Well there are cases where people were sexually abused by the opposite gender as a child and so they became gay. They either develop a really strong hate to the opposite gender or remained neutral but not trust them enough to have a relationship with them.
