Matt, watching your videos is the reason why I've gotten better as a salesperson. I wouldn't have been able to book as many more meetings or close more deals if I didn't use your permission openers or scenario based questions you preach in your videos. That's helped me tremendously in just being more confident overall! So anytime when your being hard on yourself or stressing about your career, just know that you've been an amazing help to not only myself but so many others around the world. If you can help people the way you do, then you can literally do anything! Your girlfriend knows it & I'm sure all your subscribers do as well brother!

I have been in a similar position before with feeling the crazy stress. However, accepting that failure is all something we experience in life. I think the best thing to do is just give it all that you have. And something that's helped me with stress is 10k steps per day and having a hobby outside of work to ease my mind. You got this!

I feel the same way. My boss took a huge risk on hiring me and despite the positive feedback I feel like I’m not doing good enough or don’t deserve to be there. I’m grateful that there are sales creators like Matt who are honest and transparent about their successes and their struggles.

I just love how honest and vulnerable you are in such a public space. I know exactly how you feel. It's overwhelming once you are given such an incredible opportunity, but being afraid you could blow it. I was given the most amazing sales job recently. I'm very afraid I won't do well, but if I don't even try, I certainly won't. Everything in life is an opportunity to grow or an experience in learning. I hope that you realize that whatever happens you'll be okay and that in your new job you will most definitely soar! The sky is the limit for you! Good luck❤

I failed at that first Company just like you... but if I hadn't tried and failed, I wouldnt be where I am today leading a sales team at a fantastic company. It's very important that you don't take your job personal. Never show any emotions towards your job. Things happen for a reason. You shouldn't stress over it. You always find a way out in anything you do. There's always a solution to it. So don't think much about it. Whatever happens, happens..

Bro not sure if you remember my advice on a previous video but man if you in your mind believe your going to fail you've already lost the game, you've told yourself you dont know how to close mil dollar deals then brother go out and learn it and absolutely conquer. It's stupid to lose sleep your just shooting yourself in the foot, what you need is to a solid root cause analysis. Write down on a piece of paper a problem you have then dont get up until you have 20 answers to solve that problem and ask yourself why? as many times as it takes to get to the bottom. Problem - Low energy Why? i ate biscuits Why? because i wanted to why? because i stayed up late watching movies with my mom until 3am Bingo - main issue stayed up late tomorrow dont stay up Simple? Go out and act my G

Hey Matt! I have a job interview with the recruiter on Monday for an AE type role at a fintech firm. I have no professional sales experience and been watching your channel the last couple days. I was wondering how I should go about the interview when the job description says they don’t need “hunters” as they get plenty of inbound traffic?
@MattMacnamara
@MattMacnamara 22 күн бұрын
sounds like a great job lol...the hardest part is the hunting. I'd ask lots of questions around the inbound traffic...I've never heard of a company writing that they don't need "hunters" in a job description...seems a bit off

Are you in sales for the money or the excitement? This game gets stressful when you have a lot to say to a potential customer in a short amount of time to get his attention. So find something that easy to pitch . For example. I was buying show Leads farm lead generators that attended annual events across the United States. They have people registering for a free vacation at that booth at that affair for a get away to Orlando, Florida. I would call these leads with a simple pitch. Hey John, you were at the car show in New York City you registered for in Orlando Disney Florida vacation congratulations they chose your name this is not free but you’re not paying $3000 you’ll get it for $565 and you got 18 months to travel congratulations. Get excited. On that initial call I would say you’re staying in Orlando at the Ramada for seven days and they give you a bonus in seven days in Miami and only thing you responsible for is the service fee. The pay commission on that was $400 I would want to write a few or night and that’s it. No stress. That’s just an example but never tell yourself that you don’t believe I hear you you’re good so you must be stressing. Good luck.

If we stacked every salesperson in the world, I would be well above average. Comparing to the reps that treat this as a “craft”, I’m average…I have a long way to go to consider myself GREAT at selling…I’ll get there.

This hit me emotionally and did scare me because I'm currently in the process of breaking into Tech Sales, but I've seen most of your content and learned a lot. Never stop with the content, it brought me a lot of value. You, out of most other content creators, I've learned more from and paved the way for me on what to look out for because you were honest about specific about every aspect of the job and the people. For others who are watching and currently breaking or are in an SDR/AE role, let's keep going, even knowing companies will continue to do layoffs, and there are going to be times when Quota won't be made(let's keep it real), this is our path, we chose it because it's what we want. I hope to update you on my journey one day, Matt. Praying for you, your next big role, and more success! You got this! We got this!
