I actually do like how you've used the idea that the game is lying. It's so subtle but effective how the intro sets you up to think that there's an ending but there just never is

Love the idea! The robot makes it seem like a dystopian city aesthetic may fit better than grassy hills, but that's just me. This is so cool!

Day: 398 i still haven't found any clues that Bill even exists, but my memory circuits don't lie so i guess I'll keep searching.

Imagine if you added text every so often like: Bill? Where are you? I'll find you even if it takes all the time in the universe! Will I ever get to Bill? Does Bill even exist? I have no one else... Basically, make it sad or depressing so the player REALLY wants to find Bill to stop the suffering of this virtual robot.

Better idea for tying in the prompt: It’s procedurally generated, but there are menus formatted like those of games with designed levels (i.e. Angry Birds). In this way the game *lies* about its very nature, and the player is none the wiser, endlessly searching for the gateway to “Level 2”. _Eh?_

This is an absolute masterpiece. It so accurately depicts life as well. It shows that life is ultimately pointless and that achievements are only illusions of the system and that we are all tiresomely pressing forward with no question as to where we are going which is what ultimately makes life pointless.

People started an where’s bill speedrun! Now they are just speed running until they see an generation glitch and being Hanny that they found that.

The lack of plot and words makes this game even scarier than an actual horror.

That's some good procedural creation those turning things and death blocks look a bit scary though, like they could end up with a bad combo! But I guess you never met a bad combo or accounted for that :) Not much I can add to this one it's a solid game! One thing I know annoys me in games like this though is repetitive music, and if you could procedurally change it up somehow every n transports from the start and keep a count so it can regress if you go back a little, it could counter some of that and tie in with the lie of the game that you are progressing! Not having any visible counters or scores really enforced the idea that you're not making infinite addicting progress but actually looking for someone! Perhaps there could be other bots with randomised names (not Bill) who you can stand near to ask them for info and they have a procedural reply each that wouldn't be able to be proved untrue somehow... ------------------------------------ So I'm trying the game because I actually love infinite procedural generation I'll be hooked! And first thing in the tutorial level I can't help but think... but what if I jump off the edge maybe Bill is right there... Frustrating already! Some ways look harder than others but taking other routes... how could you ever know which route was right... if a route really feels impossible, it still appears as though it should be possible so,... I really hope all ways are possible. On the off chance there is an impossible way, perhaps our robot could say something after a few many deaths like "Bill couldn't have gone this way, he's way too clumsy!" Actually different lines like this could really flesh out his character lol. The controls at first reminded me of your making a hard, frustrating game project; because the controls are super simple but hard to get right/master... But I really like that the levels are short so they don't become too intense when you have trouble. And the music hasn't actually bothered me at all! Yet... I've been wondering about cues that could help you traverse the maze of portals if you do have to backtrack. Perhaps some indication of how many times a portal has been used would be enough. An odd number would make it clear it heads backwards and an even number would mean a way you've been forward before, so perhaps only a couple visual states would do... ------------------------------- Okay eventually I found myself not progressing, stuck with a challenge and frustrated and not wanting to go back at all. Fun game though. Needs a save function.

I have played a game that like a mix of: running game(no control of running), platformer game(have alot of things that can kill,help, ect), upgrading?(there is 4 character and shops you can meet every level(1 level means some time playing)) , and also some more. Name of the game:chiki chase. Why i love it:fun infinite and good character design. Enemies also good and.... I just found out that my fav character is from a real cat. I foun that the hard way.... Rest in peace....😞

You can tell he procrastinated, he gets the character done in 1 day, but a name, tutorial, title screen, music, sfx, and new platforms in 8 hours

Make a level counter that is like 1/10 and then when you get to 10 it changes to 10/20 and so on. So as soon as you think your almost done it just keeps going

When I heard the theme, I instantly thought schizophrenic. You play as someone with schizophrenia, doing tasks for people, maintaining relationships, and the game has a spooky atmosphere. But it is, quite literally, all in your head. Some of the relationships are real, some aren’t. The spookiness is completely fake, but is still very scary without medication. And at the beginning, the tasks are all real, but as you get along they become more and more absurd, and at the end of the game you get diagnosed, medicated, and you find out what’s been really going on. Then you get married to the tutorial npc :)

If you ever did go back and update this game, you should add an extremely tiny possibility for a graphic of another robot character to appear just out of reach at the edge of the screen - but despawn as soon as it is out of view. Just to fuck with people.
