Say goodbye to my gloss black gas tank and rear fender! When I bought this bike I planned on swapping the color out to a certain OEM color that I fell in love with ever since the first time I laid eyes on it, and today I was able to make that dream a reality! Swapping out your gas tank and rear fender for OEM pieces is a great way to get the color change you want while still keep that factory Honda quality. Plus, it's easier than most people would think! That's why I decided to walk you through a step-by-step process of exactly how to do it yourself!
This process can be helpful in lots of ways aside from just swapping the color on your Honda Rebel though. If you've dropped your bike previously and the tank got dented, this is the same process to remove and replace a dented tank on your Rebel. If you had something strapped to your rear fender that ended up denting it or scuffing it, this is the same process to remove and replace the rear fender on your Rebel. If you're planning to replace the stock brake light with something that looks better, this is the same process to remove your rear fender in order to get access to your brake light wires so you can replace your Rebel's brake light. And of course, if you just want to spice things up by removing your gas tank and rear fender to replace them with new pieces, or even to paint them, then this is your one stop shop to learn how to do so!
I've never had to do this before, and it still would've only taken me a couple hours from start to finish if I hadn't been filming the whole process. This is something that is easier to do than most might expect, so hopefully this video gives you the confidence you need to tackle the project yourself!
