I have a '22 750. It's just you and the bike, no meddling electronics, just an old-school sport bike. Exhaust and a tune, braided brakes lines... simple upgrades that really liven it up. It's an amazing machine that will launch you to nosebleed speeds in a heartbeat or two but is still nimble in the twisties, without costing nearly as much as an electronics-laden liter bike.

@@jakejudson8578 It has training wheels built in though, it’s called ‘B Mode’ 😉 …And plenty of people have learned to ride on fast bikes. On this bike, you have to get the revs up pretty high to make significant power, so if you combine the lower power mode with keeping the RPM below the power band, there’s no reason someone can’t learn on it. If someone really lacks the sense to ride within their ability, and not be riding 100+ MPH as a new rider, then they shouldn’t be riding ANY motorcycles yet. I had a friend who, at 16 years old, wrecked his Ninja 250 and had serious injuries, while doing about 65MPH in a busy 45 MPH area. Totally avoidable if he had more self control to ride within his ability, and the smaller “beginner” bike didn’t save him. In recent years, the internet has gotten obsessed with this idea of mandating small displacement bikes for beginners. It’s a good idea for most of the stupid kids and man children who make up a decent portion of the population, because it’s better that they can only go 100MPH instead of 150, but there are plenty of people who learned to ride on overpowered monsters because they simply had a respect for the power of the machine. Not to mention, the OP didn’t even say anything about this being a first bike.

I have owned many 1000cc sports bikes over the years including Suzuki, Honda and BMW, and last year I bought a GSXR750. It might sound silly, but for me it's the most fun bike I have owned for road riding. Just love that you really ride it, with higher revving and gear changes and flicking into corners . Enough power for quick rides , but you just have to make the bike work harder which is all part of the fun. Thanks again for all the great videos.

Hey man. Just wanted to give you props for taking a break from the socials comments sections. People suck on the best of days. You're putting a ton of effort into making excellent, educational content and that's appreciated. Folks can take it or leave it. I appreciate your content and efforts to try and help riders be better. Just recently picked up a 2005 Yamaha R6 and it's been an interesting learning experience sizing up from my Ninja 250R. I'm glad I took beginner rider courses as well as cornering courses on track to really feel confident on the little bike. So much of it was transferable to the 600. Just have to continue to get used to the ergos and the weight difference. Low speed maneuverability is hilarious on the 600cc super sport but I need to get out into a parking lot more to get comfortable. Will be using your drills to nail that down. Thanks again.

Yes... I am old (81) and it amuses me that bikes have all these gadgets now, so it's nice to see one that is just a bike. I ride a 1988 CBR600, and it's fast and civilised at the same time... I have done 500kms(300+ miles) on it quite comfortably. So many road bikes these days are way too track focused. That little Suzy is what road going sport bikes need to be. It's not surprising that they are popular. Part of riding a bike is being able to synchronise revs, do clean clutchless changes etc,.... it's a skill that many riders these days seem to lack.

People talk up modern liter power and tech and etc... yet most advanced riders I know have taken a step back and prefer a basic 600, or one of these and we all say the same review that it's so much more visceral and fun and tbh... I have one of these bikes and to me it handles WAY better than say Triumph Speed Triple RR or MT 10 SP or any hyper naked even with the tech and etc. This thing was dialed perfectly and Suzuki had no point in updating it and actually still producing it they give one of the only true analogue sport bikes on the market. That deserves credit.

@@ianvl2970 I was close to buying a 1000GT at the beginning of this year, but ended up finding a ‘19 Ninja 1000 ABS. Would love to try the GT out to compare.

@@PokeyCottons I had a 2014 1000sx, and a 2020 1000sx. Tired as hell after 2 hours riding. With the 1000gt none. That made sence to me. Testriding a bike in 1 hour is too short. Take the bike for a day, or rent it. Then you feel every bit you need to know. The 1000sx feels a fat asss, 1000gt is more agile, but has terrible front brakes, even if its brembo.

@@ianvl2970 I’m pretty happy with the N1K, but it’s interesting that you feel more fatigue from riding it. And I saw some reviewers saying the brakes sucked on the GT too. Gotta say I really like the low & mid range torque on the Ninja. It’s my first 4 cylinder bike, I came from a ‘14 FZ09. The 1000GT is a great looking bike, but I saved thousands by getting the used Ninja, and it only had 1,200 miles on it 😍 Cheers from one sports tourer to another!

This surprised me. I never took you as a GSXR bro lol. Anyone with this bike, is it a fully committed full tuck seating position? I ask because I just spun a 08 GSXR 1000 around the parking lot and it was not comfortable. I’m on a CBR 300 right now. Plus with no technology would you pick this over something like a kawa zx6r? I’m really looking to get one in March

I agree the 750 class is a real sweet spot. You don't really need any more than that. Dealers in Australia don't have them new anymore. 😥 My neighbour has a 2012 model and it's pretty much the same bike as this 2023 model. I actually like that it has no tech. Just focus on skill. But seriously, I think all new bikes should at least have a fuel gauge and gear indicator.

After 4 years i listen to my heart and i sold it and i have now fazer600. I feel very uncomfortable decause i miss the abs. I have more than fantastic drakes but ads had help me in same difficult situations in the city. I fall in love everyday more to this bike but I feel like she will cheat on me...😅
