The directors intent is overrated. This is why there are picture modes. You can have an accurate mode and I can have a mode with a little bit more pop! They can both exist (that being said, let's not have any ugly hue shifts, shall we?). Only 2 things are the most important: you like what you're seeing and there is some preservation of the general tonality

@@stealthis I agree, yes the panasonic colors do look more true to directors intent but as someone thats not a crazy AV expert I would prefer slightly more pop of an LG, that being said I cant stand on default color modes while watching tv on an LG they oversaturate skin tones so people look orange its offputting but on the over hand that over saturation looks amazing if you are watching "Our planet" at 4K HDR. so I do agree different color modes 100% have their place

The best part of this technology is that it is fairly simple, and doesn't require any additional electronics. It's just magnifying and focusing the light using a special array of lenses. You can't get more efficient than that.

Their conference is tonight at 8pm EST. They better have the Pentonic SoC or they might as well just call it quits. It's beyond a joke to still have the old MediaTek again. Especially since the "8K" version of Pentonic exist and have been for a while. They should then just use that and limit the 8K part on 4K TVs. I mean they would still need it for the Z series TVs. I happily pay another $100 if I know they have a Pentonic.

Hmm. All I ask is qd oled with Dolby vision and up to date gaming features which doesn’t cost 1k more than it’s worth. Still here with my C9 waiting for a worthwhile set to upgrade. The MLA looks great. It certainly solves the brightness issue. I still don’t see how it contends with QD oled though. The inherent problem of relying on the white subpixel is a hard ceiling on colour volume. The Sony A95k is the closest I’ve seen to what I want in a tv. I was hoping this year to see something close to that, that isn’t asking a ridiculous price tag.

Waterwulf You do realise only a handful of 4K blu rays effectively use the full Rec2020 colour volume. The majority of 4K blu rays were/are mastered with a colour volume normal OLED LG, Panasonic, Philips etc matches or exceeds. 87%+ Rec2020 colour volume from Samsung Display is impressive but the film studios aren't mastering the films (bar one or two) on 4K blu ray discs to take full advantage of it! Panasonic LZ2000 won best Home Cinema TV in the HDTVtest Blind shootout 2022 ahead of the Sony A95K. Also won best Home Cinema TV in Avforums 2022 Awards.

I'd say you should go for the C3 or the C2, the A95k is just way too expensive for what it is. I understand it's great but it should be 200-300 dollars more expensive at best. The prices of the LG and Samsung TVs come down a lot as well so there's that.

Did Panasonic New model MZ2000e address and fix the problem with the LZ2000e model...the bass speaker rattles and the plastic casing vibrates when volume at normal anytime a movie or moderate bass is played...❓This is not an isolated case...there are others on the website avforums documenting the exact problem.

When my panel (B9) was exchanged at the end of the 2 year period, i saw that the new panel was way brighter. With time i feel that the oled panel starts to give out. So this is good news if they are the upping luminance , so the panel keeps better brightness for long. At least is what i think. What are your toughts about this?
@olgil
@olgil Жыл бұрын
OLED brightness does go down gradually over time but you shouldn't see much difference with a TV from 2019. You may have received a panel replacement using one of the newer Evo/EX panels which are a bit brighter.

That is correct. Small OLED emitters, especially blue ones, tend to lose brightness a lot quicker than equivalent LED emitters.

It's in the service menu but there is a risk of voiding the warranty. You would need one of the following :- service remote, color control app, ir blaster, Web os address, LG service remote app (haven't tried this and its paid) from play store in conjunction with an ir blaster.

I realize I'm complaining about a "first-world problem", but I keep wishing that Panasonic would start selling their TVs in the United States again. Value Electronics was able to offer a small number of Panasonic TVs for sale from their store in New York last year, so maybe I'll get lucky someday and purchase one of those rare models. They're almost as scarce as unicorns on this side of the planet.
