Welcome back, I want to be super open and honest with you in today’s KZfaq video. For the last 12 months I have been really struggling with my health and suffering from countless infections, it has had a huge impact on my training and ability to do things as normal. I really tried to carry on, producing great content that helped you on your fitness journeys, but recently it’s become more and more challenging, so I felt it was only right to be completely transparent with you about what’s been going on.
As I establish a new routine, I will be starting my brand new program on the EvolveYou App - Power x Strong, a first of its kind collaboration that I believe will truly change the fitness game.
Exclusively on the EvolveYou App, Power x Strong combines my passion for Strength training with Danielle’s passion for Power and Athletic moves, creating the perfect program for you to build confidence, skill, agility and power in and outside of the gym. This program is designed to truly help you become the best version of yourself and to help you feel truly powerful everyday.
I appreciate your patience with me, whilst I’m getting back to my usual self!
Love you forever and always, Krissy.

I felt this. As someone with MS (multiple sclerosis), I struggled mentally after getting diagnosed. I stopped working out, didn't care about clean eating, and I didn't give a shit anymore. It's been four years, and I'm finally getting back to a “new me.” I just got back into working out again. However, I struggle with fatigue, and if I don't work out in the morning, it'll never happen after work. I remind myself daily that I am alive, it’s okay to have a bad day and to appreciate that my disability hasn't put me in a wheelchair, and for that, I am blessed. One day at a time🧡

6 years ago, I had a breast cancer and took a year to recover to do exercise.. now I can share this experience with other people. Then I just had a really bad bike accident few days ago. Hit by badger and fell badly. Cracked front teeth, hit my knee. Can’t do anything and can’t eat properly. I was beating myself. But I am going to stop now. My experience will make me even stronger again. Thanks Krissy!

I have PCOS and Hashimoto... When I hear you have Hashimoto I almost cried. Not because you have it, it's not the worst thing , we can do it but because I felt that I'm being heard. I'm happy to hear you validating how we feel cause sometimes I feel like I''m just lazy or making excuses but I'm not. I really am tired all the time and I really can't lose weight as easy as a healthy person could. It sucks but it is what it is. Thank you and be happy!

Krissy, I hope you read this! I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so honest and transparent with everything that happens in your life. Just last night, I had a little mental breakdown because I developed really bad tendinitis in my leg last year that has not gone away, and it made me really sad seeing other people online working out and working on their bodies whenever they want to. I am so glad that you keep saying that you are just thankful that you can at least workout even on your difficult days at the gym because it is soooo true. I just feel like I took those days for granted sometimes. I have not been able to train for about 9 months now and it was SO difficult on my mental health at the beginning. Listening to you say “just be patient with your body” has helped me so much. A lot of the swelling has gone down now, but I am still not able to get my body to the gym because there is still some swelling in my foot, but I am trying to be patient with myself and taking it one day at a time. I just wanted to say thank you for being such an inspiration and so REAL!!! I will never stop supporting your brand and I wish you the best with everything!! May this just be a bump in the road that helps us learn a few things, but may we come back even stronger!!!!! Best vibes your way, Krissy! 💕 -Mel

I really needed to hear/see this. I cant tell you how discouraged i have gotten when i go back to the gym after being sick, or inconsistent due to many different factors, like anxiety, and I do maybe 2 workouts and i have to call it quits because i was just too fatigued to continue. It didnt feel normal to me and it was really discouraging because nobody ever shows days like that on the internet. Everyone needs to know that it is normal and okay to recognize when your body needs a rest or a period to recuperate. 💞 i love this. Thanks so much for this video.

Thank you for sharing your story. I’ve followed along with you for a few years and use the app. I ALSO have had health struggles that can’t quite be figured out for that last 4 years. Hormones, adrenals, all sorts of things…but generally I don’t FEEL WELL. And it’s hard not to let the comparison get to you when you feel strong, or like you’ve been strong and you should just always be able to push through. So thank you, and sending you prayers and positivity💕🙏🏼

I actually came across your youtube profile during my discovery phase after i was diagnosed with Hashimoto. I was trying to reduce gluten and dairy and came accros your video, which then led me to your workout videos, instagram profile and then my subscription to the app. I truly believe this is a silent disease and no one truly understands the physical and emotional distress it causes us. The one thing i learned during this journey is to always listen to your body, even if tests look fine, prioritize rest and try to live day by day without thinking what the disease is gonna impede on the following day. While this won’t go away, you will grow around it and become stronger and hopefully, it will become easier with time to manage it. Sending all my love and support, from one fighter to the other ❤.

I've been first diagnosed with ME (chronic fatigue syndrome) and then 5 years later with Hashimoto same as you... it takes so much toll on your body, physically, but especially mentally. If you are a person who is active, its a killer to come to terms with. Fast forward 2 years, im stronger and better. Still have days when my body gives in completely, and those days i spent watching Netflix. Pills for the rest of my life, but not complaining 😂🙏. Still here, still fighting and still winning 💪. Omg Krissy, I actually love you for sharing your health problems as I have had similar and feel like a shadow of myself in the gym since menopause, digestive problems (low face elastase) burnout, severe hip problems… have lost my mojo so much and my body cannot do the high levels of cardio I used to do… and I have put on weight and feel disgusting! My job requires me to look good and I was like you, trying to pretend I am ok and loving life but inside I felt under so much pressure to be perfect… and then I caught up in the trap of thinking everyone else’s life is perfect so for someone like you to be so brave and speak out is such a relief… I really admire you and we really are all on the same team! I truly hope you make a full recovery and I think speaking out really will help so many people… love Carrie ❤xx

Thank you and well done for the self care. I have fibromyalgia & various other autoimmune issues which floored me a few years ago and I thought my life was literally over. I couldn't climb or cycle, put on 3 stone and struggled to walk. I discovered dancing, gentle at first then got stronger, I lost the weight, took up kickboxing and weight training. Out of the darkness comes light if you just keep moving, however gently & slowly. You'll overcome and adapt and feel great once again lovely girl. You've helped me so much in my journey xx

Girl this is absolutely inspiring and love how you come out in all honesty with being realistic with life and how we actually feel. I couldn't help but tear up to your voice over in the beg, not always easy to share these phases that we have with our body/ health. So extremely important to listen to your body, get checked out every so often and keeping up with maintaining a good lifestyle. It definitely isn't easy for the working out part, but at least you're trying and showing up as best as you can. I keep getting turned away at my doctors “your fine and get some rest” and I’m just not ok not matter how many blood tests they do and scans, doesn’t mean I’m ok. I’m not sleeping and barley eating, constantly sick (for months). I don’t feel like myself for the first time ever, it’s so scary and I just want to be fixed. Krissy thank you. Turn to God. Let me share my little testimony with you. I had candida that just wouldn't go away, I tried so many drugs and medications, including expensive Chinese medications but it never went. It even stopped my period, so I hadn't seen my period in months but when I turned to the one with the healing power something, I was told would take months to clear and that I had to quit carbs and any form of sugar no matter how weak I felt in order for it to go away and that would take months. I finally turned to God, I cried to him through prayer and fasting since nothing was working and on Friday, old, black and dried flaky blood began to come out of me, I was getting my period and up till yesterday, I was still menstrating the black blood which is a sign of old blood in the womb. From candida, that stopped my menstrual cycle for months, I could have gotten endometriosis, if blood just kept accumulating in my womb and my uterus wasn't shedding it's lining. But from the one that possesses the ultimate healing power and not medicine, God WIPED EVERYTHING OUT WITHOUT A TRACE, he's the only one that can heal without leaving scars, he's the only one that can work on your insides without opening you up, JESUS, has the real healing power, turn to him today.

Definitely a reminder I needed to hear. I had hip surgery for a femoral head bone cyst in January and I spent so much of my time out of commission being upset that I couldn't move and I got even more upset at first when I started back at working out 5 weeks ago. I'm still working out at home and can't get back into the gym yet, and sometimes it's really hard for me to see how far "setback" I am since having the surgery and working through the healing process. I've started Power Strong as well and I'm on beginner just to be safe with my hip limitations so it really feels like I'm starting all over from zero sometimes. I'm glad that even though our experience isn't the same to see you working hard for yourself too. It makes me feel better about those days when I just can't do what I wanted to. I really hope your condition improves Krissy, and thanks for always being an inspiration 💜

While I’m sorry to hear you have not been in the best health, I’m super grateful for the message you are sharing. I have lived with an ‘invisible illness’ for the majority of my life. Most of the time, I appear well on the outside. I’ve gotten so good at ignoring my symptoms and pushing through just to meet the expectations of myself and others. But you can only ignore your health for so long before it comes back to bite you. What I have realized is that I don’t need to succumb to the pressure of others, and I damn sure don’t need to be putting so much pressure on myself. It’s important to have grace and compassion for yourself and your body. Otherwise, how can you expect it to heal? Sending you so much love girlfriend🤎

Who would have guessed that dropping sugar and alcohol is a good thing. Eating animal based probably doesn't do much for your thyroid or against the attacking immune system though. But whatever works for you.

@@rebel4466 eating einmal based literally changed my life so I’d say it works. It’s very strict so it’s not for everyone but I was at a point with my health I was willing to try anything. I was sick of Drs prescribing different things that only masked symptoms. I’ve I went full animal based I went off all medications including my anxiety medication. Now I’m being slowly taken off my thyroid meds because my numbers are holding and finally within normal range. No it’s for everyone but it changed my life for the better.

This was such an important message for me. The last year has been incredible in that I completed my dissertation and I defended and as of last Friday, I am unofficially a Dr in my field. Graduation is in May. However also over the last year, I have spent 16 hours sitting in front of a computer screen, writing and exhausted. And gained so much weight. I went from doing races every week and triathlons every few months, gym 6 days a week, yoga 2 days a week….to sitting on my ass and eating and writing. The year has been a total decline of my fitness to gain the highest point of my degree. Now that it’s over…I’m starting to get back into fitness. And it has been so discouraging because I know what I used to do. And my body at this point in time cannot keep up with my previous level.

TSH OF 100. I too just got diagnosed with Hashimotos, 29 JAN 2023 to be exact. I think it’s so important for you to be in the position you are right now, to bring awareness to other people to know your body and know when somethings wrong. I’ve been on medicine since then and I just now started feeling my self again with my energies levels but… my body has not caught up, make sure you give your body time to come back. Because even now 2 months of being on meds and my body is no where near where it was when it comes to feeling strong. One thing I started practicing was when I had good days, I went hard and when I had hard days I rested. Some weeks when I first started on meds my good days would be maybe 2 days out of the week and I had to accept that was okay. That my body needed the time to catch up. And then slowly but surely, my body felt better a little more each week. And I could do more, but just because your energy levels are up doesn’t mean your muscles have caught up. Even though I felt better and wanted to do burpees and run, I started having muscle aches and spasms I’ve never had before, now I have plantar fasciitis and an Achilles sprain. Be careful with your body recovery, my mind was ready to hop back in and my body was not. From one hypothyroid paitent to another 💪🏼 we got this.

keep tracing your TSH level and never ever lose hope, I have also been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease 8 years ago, keep positivity! At first, I took medicine for months to control my TSH level, all the doctors believe I need medicine for my whole life. but just after years of healthy diet changes and better stress control, the doctor gradually reduced the dose. and now I am still at a normal TSH level without medicine! hang in there!!!

Same. Literally years of telling me I'm young and just fine so I should take 3000 different meds for each symptom which made me worse..and then later hearing of course youre bodies changing, you're getting older. So many providers thinking it's in my head until boom... Did the right tests and found I'm hypo, have hoshimotos and they missed the nodules and now I need my whole thyroid removed. It literally makes you feel like you're going insane until you start believing it's just in your head because you've heard it so many times but we know our bodies so if you feel something keep saying it until someone listens because I have so much happening now that could have been prevented.
