I recognize the illness. My 22/22’ shop used to hold my 22’ Tolman Skiff but now it sits outside since I now have 5 motorcycles taking its space along with failed art projects, darkroom gear, air rifles, crab pots, countless rods and reels, boxes of photos, tools spread from here to there and a senile old cat. Sigh.

it's not a matter of more space either, it fills up just as fast. my 44'x66' filled up in just 2 years, now it's home to my cj5 jeep, 65 olds big tire race car, side by side, a TON of reloading equipment, a tractor, Buell, quad, my panamera, my truck and my daily driver... plus all my tools! you know you got your priorities straight when your house is only 800 sq ft but your shop is 2500 sq ft LMFAO

Seeing Rhett driving that ‘64 Corvair with Matt reminds me of myself. When I was 18 I was driving my dad’s ‘63?Corvair that he bought when we moved to Minnesota. It had great traction in the snow compared to our other cars due to the weight of the rear engine over the drive wheels. But it was a bear to steer out of a skid due to the light front end having only marginal authority over what was happening in the back. I might have kissed a couple curbs back then. That was 1969. I’m 71 years old now and drive drive a 4WD Tesla that can do everything for me. How times have changed.

This kind of recovery is my favorite. It reminds me to keep working on my backyard car so I don’t become the old man with a car up to its axles. Throttle your addiction Matt, if you are actively using the parts then it is healthy to have spares. If you are not using the parts then make sure you are selling as many as you buy so it is still a hobby rather than a disorder.

Ed’s cameo was of him walking around talking trash with a lit cigarette. Gotta love it! I learned how to make pancakes from a character like Ed named Ralph whom was a custom home builder. Ralph was 9000 years old, smoked a pack of camels every day since he was 12 and could keep pace with a fit 20 year old. Ralph bought a new BMW for his wife and kid, he drove an old Dodge truck. The trick to pancakes is add sugar to the batter and low heat cooked with butter. The sugar caramelizes and makes the outside crispy. Much love for the Eds and Ralphs of this world!

At 11:28 in the background we see an immaculate 1959 Cheverolet El Comino "sport utility" vehicle. This is a pick-up truck like vehicle, except the open truck-bed in an integral part of the cab, unlike real pick-up trucks which are defined by the fact that the cab is utterly disconnected from the truck-bed. This model and style El Comino was made for just two model years (1959 & 1960). That one might be worth as much as $85,000 to $100,000. Four have sold this year for over $90,000. Of course we only see the back exterior, and those prices assume the entire machine is in near perfect condition.

When Doug was touching the rope while the van was being winched, I actual said "dude! Get the hell away from the rope." You NEVER stand beside or near a rope, chain, or cable when it's under tension. It could fail and that will be your hand, arm, leg, Life.. gone in 1/2 a second. Do not risk it. I Love Katelyn's youthful Innocence in these videos. She seems a little timid and not wanting to mess things up, but she is very willing to jump in and learn. Amazing attitude and personality! You're doing an amazing job Katelynn!!

My Saturday started with disappointment 😢. I was planning on watching Friday's Matt's Off Road Recovery video, I saw it was over an hour long, so I decided to save it until Saturday morning, imagine my dismay to find it gone. I speak for the rest of America when I ask, why?

Maybe because the video was 1h long commercial for their new product that was WAY overpriced and the video got more downvotes than they had on all their videos combined.. (probably).. MORR have gone the "we wanna make lots of $$$$$$ route" now..

Crazy. I was 3 minuets in to the live stream video. And realized it was a commercial for a $380 tool bag. That is worth about $40. I cant believe Matt is trying to sell a $380 small tool bag.

@@phillipcollier2827 yeah, that 1h was just a commercial and waste of time. Not really liking where this is going. I hope they got an eye-opener and will address this in a video for us.. so we don't have to wonder..
