Nice surf variety...i only seem to catch/release barred perch, baby leopard sharks, and sometimes corbina which are a lot of fun to battle.

nice catch! justing coming to San Diego and wonder if you can take that sea bass back and cook. I like fishing and cooking the fish I got, that would be more statisfying.

@@BenjieKimFishing The surf was actually going off. I surfed for about an hour (super fun) and then put my board in my car, threw on some trunks, grabbed a 10lb spinning set up and cast a small fluke bait all over River Jetties on the Newport side, por nada. All in all, I’m calling it a great day though! Tight lines!

It's not so much a Certate issue, it's cuz I had it serviced and I think when they put the reel back together again, some of the mag seal grease smeared and leaked a bit. I guess when that happens on any Daiwa reel, that can happen. Hope you're well brotha!!!

Where is this at? Is it the states, and if so, what state? Btw I can relate to the reel-reverse issue, I had a big fish on and the reverse randomly activated and I lost the fish.😢

haha, imo it's dealers choice when it comes to reels. I feel like everyone has their individual preferences for whatever reason. But yea, that kinda sucked in the video lol

Hey there! I don't specify beaches on social media platforms, but this was in San Diego County. I was fishing an incoming high tide from about 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Tight lines!

haha for sure. I know it'll solve a lot of potential problems...the only reason I haven't already is I've always fished light rods and reels and trying to keep it that way. But the VS would eliminate a lot of headaches and just mental energy when fishing the surf so perhaps it's the right way to go. We shall see.
