The life of a fish whether stocked trout or wild should be ethical when handling them. Life force is the same in both fish stocked or wild. I don’t keep fish from my fly fishing experience but however if someone is eating the fish they catch is more respectful to me in the cycle of life than someone pulling fish out of their environment for pleasure (sport fishing, fly fishing). To me a fisherman that disrespected the sport is the one that bring the fish to the bank and drop the fish to the sand causing mayor damage to the fish eyes and skin. A fish ones caught should be handled as a baby with tenderness and don’t dump them into the water either.🙏

I use a braid to fluoro connection - either the RP or Albright. Tight lines!

Please clarify. On the first several knots for the terminal rigs and your are saying 'line' are these to fluorocarbon leaders or directly to braid?
@BenjieKimFishing8 күн бұрын
My apologies on not being clear and thank you so much for taking the time to watch and dissect. But yes, these rigs are based off fluorocarbon leaders or mono. You would not flyline or dropper loop on straight braid. Tight lines!

is that a neon green line? doesnt it deter fish..or is that just a myth ?
@lost4real7779 күн бұрын
They used neon green for better visibility in the video.
@BenjieKimFishing8 күн бұрын
There'll typically be a 2 to 3 ft fluorocarbon leader. But yes, the green was used for visibility here.

Fly lining with good bait is probably one of the funnest ways to fish. You get a good active bait moving then it starts taking a run because it’s scared and then line starts peeling and it’s time to play lol.

Nice video 💪 Flylining is a fishing technique that confuses a lot of people online and in real life, I've noticed. When you mention "flylining" people often correct you and say "You mean fly-fishing." I'm born and raised Orange County, California and only started fishing seriously seven years ago. Took awhile to get the hang of flylining and even longer to find a good flyline setup of my own for saltwater use. So far I've only flylined sardines and that's difficult enough... can't even imagine how much harder it would be with the even lighter anchovy like in the old days! 🎣
@BenjieKimFishing8 күн бұрын
Thank you for the comment Jake! Flylining for me is simple but not necessarily easy. All the tips that I've learned over the years can't replace the importance of actually spending time at the bait tank and practicing.
