This year, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing a mixed force of Lothlorien and Rivendell Elves from Games Workshop's Warhammer Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game (MESBG).
This is the first part of the story of how I painted this force. I went to the Isle of Skye and Lewis and Harris in the Hebrides. I wanted to find wildlife including Otters, Seals, Deer and Gold Eagles whilst finishing my army including Elrond, Haldir, Rumil and others.

Eagle-eared among you will notice a missing line when the audio drops out. The missing line is "a bag of my dog's poo". Good luck to anyone checking the comments before watching in guessing the context. Hint, it involves dinosaurs (no, really).

Lovely video, watching at 2am as I paint some Lamenters. I'm pleasantly surprised at how chuffed you were with seeing an otters arse in the wild on your voyage (though, I've never seen one so you beat me). I recently came back from a trip slightly south to Tasmania, after having a stop by in a small tent pitch, I was kept up by much, much more than cheeky possums and bouncing wallaby families all night. Wow, scenery, music, editing and adventuring, nutrition free camper van cooking on the fly… and haven’t even got to the table top. Just got Rumil so looking forward painting him, and the old old Halbarad coz he looks more badasser.

Brilliant video, as always! Just so you know, there is a beach in Norfolk, horsey I believe it's called, where seals beach twice a year and you can get reasonably close to them ,within reason ofcourse, there are wardens to make sure nobody gets TOO close, anyway, looking forward to watching more of your adventures

Rumil might just have been slain by Lord Key haha 11:40! Whoa the dinosaur footprints I was not expecting! Haha your modesty exceeds yourself at 23:50, profound indeed my friend, profound indeed. 25:12 sounds like a description of a rangers life, deep in the forest, alone, and weary yet wary.

Traveling to Scotland and/or Ireland for some hiking is on my bucketlist and the scenery in your videos is simply breathtaking. Also, lots of rainy days. I took my family to Stonehenge in April. Fun fact: Umbrellas don't work when the rain is horizontal.

Excellent video! Though as someone from the States, I'm disheartened by how difficult it is for you to find seals. Where I grew up, they're so plentiful as to be a nuisance.

Oh god! That is painful! My cat broke Darth Maul's finger, but that's about the worst of it. I keep my minis well out of the dog's reach now...

@@BattleCamperHome Out of curiosity - would you ever do a video talking about how you're able to do what you do, or the costs involved? I don't so much mean your real-life job, but I'd be interested to know as a ball-park figure how much a trip like this costs you. It's something I'd love to do myself someday, even if it meant renting a van (I don't think a tiny ford fiesta really counts as decent roadside accommodation).

@@PrometianPainting realistically, the headline will be that the van is of course the main expense. Followed by fuel. For me, the drive from London to Skye was probably most the holiday's costs right there. I didn't eat out much because everywhere was closed! The ferry was a further £80 I think, but of course there's a lot of Scotland to explore without getting on a boat
