Can we get Russ to do a quick breakdown of his running shoes, what he likes and dislikes about them at some point, i'd say he is probably one of the most qualified people on the planet to talk about shoes for ultra marathoning in. I have the same ones as Russ i think. Hoka speed goats 🐐 I have flat feet and usually have to wear arch supports in my shoes, especially running shoes, so I usually dread running like most people. Pros: My hokas are the only shoe I don't need the inserts. I was kinda blown away at how comfortable running felt after I got them. It actually feels like they propel you forward based off how the shoe is designed. I trail run in them and for my environment, I haven't found a shoe with better traction than these. Sometimes will even forgo wearing my nice hiking boots for my hokas if I'm doing a short day hike. (Oh and if my hiking boots ever shit the bed, hoka also makes hiking boots and I've definitely been eyeing them). Among a lot of elite running shoes, hoka has been known to be friendlier to those with wider feet, and it's much appreciated. Cons? They are on the pricey side if you just do casual running, but someone once said never skimp out on things that are between you and the ground (tires, beds, and shoes) and I think they're 100% right about that. SOMETIMES when hiking up steep slopes the ergonomics can backfire. What was once propelling you forward is now making you feel like you're falling backwards. Tis the nature of the idea tho🤷‍♂️ or could just be the way i walk. This is just my personal opinion, but i think their color designs are absolute trash. Idk why running shoes are so ugly😂 anything to stand out i guess.. That being said, I'm looking to switch my road running shoes to hokas. Their colors are much better and I think you can easily wear them with casual outfits and still look nice. Hope that was helpful

Absolutely amazing what you are doing. But I am surprised about the road conditions in West Africa, most look perfect. When I traveled to Kenya and Tanzania in the 90s there were no paved roads outside the cities, only dirt roads with potholes everywhere. Keep smashing the tarmac, you will make it to Tunesia

The boys have planned holiday to get some rest and relaxation away from the mission. It's where Harry went, where Jarred has gone, and sounds like Stan is heading off for a bit at some point. As for the new guys, Rus put out a job advert on twitter/Instagram looking for people to join them after some of the chaos that happened.
