As a single woman who frequently travels Africa, I couldn't agree with Gus more. I won't lie, it can get hairy, and I'm lucky to be able to rely on more languages than just English. But any and every danger I have ever encountered pales in significance to the absolutely JOY I have found on those journeys. Thanks for the constant inspiration, lads. ❤

Having spent an amazing but challenging 8 years in East and Central Africa in the early 20s I can appreciate the awesome job you guy are doing. Despite the hardship don’t wish it away. You will look back on these times with great fondness. These are the golden years and you have a great team sharing something very special. So I did the math, assuming Russ is 5'8 his avg stride length is around 143cm. The avg stride length of someone who's 6'4 is 160cm. Therefore if you were 6'4 you'd have ran around 1.259km more (almost 12k in total) in the same amount of time/steps, hope you enjoy that thought Russ xoxo.
