Great village setup. I’m on my first play through and am debating still learning the ins and outs of the village setup and whatnot. I think I’ll get this village setup and once I’ve figured it out then i may do a restart

Hey, thanks!! I would recommend building as you go and learning the ins & outs of the game, but once you have it all figured out, that's when I would pick up and move or restart if you so desire! I still have my original village, but I have broken it down and made it into something new

This is where I settled and Im redoing my village as well . They need to add an edit mode or give you the option to move buildings around with destroying them

I just got through my first year and im on the quest to get 10 villagers. My plan is to move my village somewhere else (thinking this lake too because its closeish to a mine wnd isna good area in general). I want to get moved after 10 villagers instead of waiting so it's a quick thing to get done. But im going to destroy it because I'll probably need that building count and i dont want unnecessary taxes

Yea, it may be best to move slowly but surely. You may be able to increase building limit too if you haven't in the custom game settings. That should help with the move

Is there any benefit to building a non house with better materials, stone vs wood or insulating it, such as smithy or resource building?

Higher level buildings usually have a few benefits. For example, resource storage carries 1000, 2000, or 4000kg, depending on the level. Workplaces will often have more worker slots or add new crafting benches(workshop II's pottery wheel), which allow for more resources/crafting gain. Insulation is cosmetic and adds nothing as far as I know.

Nope, I'm on year 16, so I've put a lot of time into this save file so far 😅 I'm probably going to retire it once my heir reaches 18

You're talking about where the villagers store items? If so, check the resources storage building chest. If you don't have one, they should be storing them in the workplace chests!

@@alexjames9865 under Goods Production (the tab that allows you to decide the work intensity of how much goods are produce per workstation) it should have a total number that shows how many goods of that type will be produced per season. Going to use this video as an example: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndqXgMZ83c20hZs.html This building is producing 667 feathers per season, and will periodically add them to your resource storage throughout the season. my estimate is a small amount is added to your resource storage every hour in-game, but I'm not 100% certain on the timeframe. Most, if not, every resource will work this way
