You may know this by now but if you dismiss your compainion before you fast travel. They will slowly walk home. But if you fast travel with out dissmissing them. They will run instead of walk all the way to you.

If you have half your fields dedicated to cabbage in Summer -> Autumn, composting said cabbage is almost enough to get all the fertilizer you need the entire year until the next patch of cabbage comes in, though admittedly I plant 2.5 crops per year (half the field in a 3-crop-rotation, the other half a 2-crop-rotation).

I settled the beach cave east of Klonica. You did mentioned and while it is true that building space is limited on just that beach. You should have talked more about the greater area further inland which offers deposits/sources/wild game of every resource nearby. The beach area can have the mine and 4-5 16×16 fields can fit and a Stone Extraction Hut. Which is what I used the beachfront for. Off to the northern shore I set up a pigsty and the breeders house to produce the manure for the fields. And some houses for the farmers. It is then on top of the cliff just above and beyond the cave where the actual building of the metro area begins, uphill towards the road fork slightly to somewhat sloped, but the terrain isn't too stubborn with the placing. Once you're on the other side of the road fork just a few yards ahead there's clay deposits. I plan to spend year 1 here, building a small and scattered settlement that produces all the raw materials and once I have it all I plan to settle further northeast to evenly spread the population density in the map. Having this beachcave hamlet as the half-way point between the fore-planned unbuilt just yet large city and Piastovia. Since every resource is grown/extracted here it makes it a great template for a "New Game" save file for a less grindy start on a future playthrough. If you wish to have a headstart where you just start out and settle wherever you want with a source of building materials to get constructing and managing right away. I never let my squads walk home. I select a spot on the map w/right click. They will double time it to that spot. You can waypoint them home that way, if you had them pick enough berries and mushrooms. They WILL be annoying and walk if they get hungry. Just make sure when you right click the map that the selection was valid. If there was actually something in the way, it won't set the waypoint. refresh the map to find out (close and open the map.) I usually send them running home while I teleport. Lazy Commander.

I subbed because of the epic bow use. I usually switch to melee when they get too close. On day 355 now.

Regarding hunting bison, what weapon should you suggest making the attempt with? I ran into them early on and my pointy stick didn't really do much. A bow with stone arrows didn't make much of a dent either.

I know we don't like it but our villagers will be a lot more productive and faster with basic village gear or no gear, all those better gears greatly slows them down. You will notice a difference.

I am by all means not a pro at this game I haven't even got into blacksmithing yet but I have noticed to not hire to early the villagers are a pain to maintain if you don't have a hunting lodge, well with buckets, and a woodshed up

One thing they definitely need to fix is items from trading are sent to the storage 'closest' to the village you're trading with, ignoring your settings for what's allowed in each particular storage. So no matter now well you organize your storage inventories, if you're trading with villages it will get messed up every morning. Now that they've sort of fixed hunger issues with the army, inventory logic is the next thing they really need to work on.

Has the oxbow update come to console yet?

I just started playing I’m 75% through my first year. The only two issues I have are the NPC’s are worthless, and why the fk do You as the player have to do and pay for everything for everyone in this valley? That’s going a bit too far. I get it’s easy to make coins but now we have to pay for everyone’s crap? I leave my 18 villager/me town for 1 day and I get blasted with red warnings like they all just got knocked out at the same exact time and aren’t waking up. They don’t have kids so it’s not that. Make this make sense…. I use your videos as references so thank you for what you do.

Dude, I love everything about this game except the NPC’s, I have them asssigned to tasks that are vital ie; food, wood, water.. And yet I leave for a day and I get all these red annoying reminders of how incompetent these npcs are. Like you’re on a lake, water is right there I even have a well. Nope, they just stop working and producing anything. Is that what’s supposed to happen? I mean I did fill the 9 homes and two people per house and I’m 75% through my first year but I’ve watched plenty of vids and plate similar games I know what to do. This game takes the cake for most worthless npc’s in any game ever made including gta…

One last comment 🤭, you have way too many radishes, but you only allowed the ATeam one measley radish for the reclamation fight! You had 3-4 fighters get hungry and leave during the battle. LOL At least give them 3 radishes during a battle SirJay!! This is your A Team after all! But seriously, reorganizing the innkeepers should solve the food issues.❤

Fell asleep during the stream, so catching the vod this morning! Noticed you gave all 3 innkeepers at The A Team, but your Tavern, Food Cellar are at The Queen’s Tax Evaders. Maybe bring back your best /10 cook to Evaders, or set up the Tavern and food Cellar along with a farm or two and cauldrons at A Team. And, you can only make food bags if you have an innkeeper at your advanced workshop town, I think.

Your storage is doing my head in …. Sorry! I break it down to raw materials like hemp, flax river reed then the adjacent barn has the finished product like rope cord, the next is basic foods in one barn eg meat, sage, berries and mushrooms then in its own barn are the cooked foods. The clothing and arms is right next door to the finished foods so that when my guys are in the staging area, they just move about 3m between each barn. Basically two barns for each category, raw materials in one the finished product in the next. Love the series, thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

This way you can just concentrate on getting everyone to gather/farm the materials to craft and sell. No need to boost your sales skills. are the towns with a different names if you create your own character? because in my game I cant see the names of the towns you talk about in my game

Just want to let you all know that if you have a big rock in the way of building, you can "MOW" it down. Act as if you are starting a crop, set it, POOF rocks are gone, destroy crop and now you can build. This works most of the time.
