Awesome job Chena. I am 66 and just starting to learn guitar. Have always loved music (first album I bought was Deep Purple Machine Head) and NOW I REALLY appreciate what it takes to play guitar and love watching your fingers go up and down those frets.

The Rhodes V sounding pretty good from where I'm sitting. that guitar so looks the part. I would take that V on your European tour for a back up and maybe use it on a song or two every night, just say'in 🤘

I noticed alot of Randy Rhodes in you, that's awesome that you are learning it, there's so much theory and formulas in his playing, i remember studying a hand drawn lesson and theory sheet he made, and it was intense. But that was before i dove into hardcore improv jazz, Herbie Hancock, wahwah Watson, chic corea, and jam bands of the middle era, like sloppy dead, Phish, and aquarium rescue unit, Victor Wooten, you know where im going. The point is i learned that like with food, the best spices, come from measuring the ingredients, and... Both tasting as you go, and adding in what feels, tastes good to you, feeling it. So the balance is hard to achieve because you can get sucked into rabbit holes in any direction, but just understand the big picture. How do you want to sound in say 5 years? 10 years? You develop your sound from that, you make it happen. Im not going to keyboard brag on who I've played with to say im a secret prodigy or anything, i just hope you feel my words, and get what im saying as you develop your layers of sonic tapestry

Awesome player How long did you take lessons before you got your chops to an acceptable level? My female friends wants to play guitar and is asking me, I cant answer her because i never took lessons. Thank you for inspiring the net generation of players.

Tell them it's a balance of both, because most ppl can't absorb the material they need to practice before another lesson teaches you more advanced stuff, so it's overwhelming, you need to fully grasp what you're learning before moving on, because you will forget most things and have to be retaught it. So finding a teacher that you can video, and learn everything each lesson, whether it's once a week, or twice, or two weeks

Caught for what? Just say you are a racist and go away. I am playing and my audio is recorded through a daw so you don’t hear the clanks of the guitar, you hear studio audio. Why is this so hard for some people to accept?
